About this listing
Location, location, location!
Private entrance, own garden and free parking, this apartment is a short walk away from sandy beaches and fun.
A Zen style gem made for easy living and beautiful nature at hand .
And a great bakery minutes away too!
If you would like to rent Chateaux Tommy for the spring short or long term please drop me a line so that we can discuss long stay prices.
The apartment is on the ground floor with it's own private entrance and a spacious outdoor area.
There is a separate wardrobe room to make sure the apartment is all about light and space!
The apartment is made so that you can enjoy the kitchen and sleeping area indoors and eat and live out doors. (If it rains, it is easy to move the dining table inside!) It's 25m2 inside, which is average size for the cote d'azur. (Very high real estate prices!!!)
Outside, it's a treat to be in your own private out door living room with a comfy seating area!
It's in a perfect location, withing walking distance to Antibes and Juan les pins, yet you are in a residential area which is beautiful, safe and close to nature.
Walking distance to the nearest beach is 2 minutes, where you also have a bakery and small convenience store.
Antibes is a 5 minute walk away and Juan les pins 8 minute walk.
Nearest train station is 10 min walk, Juan les pins. (There are buses running as well) If you arrive with lots of heavy luggage, maybe better to get off in Antibes and get a taxi from the train station.
Night life is near you, In Juan les pins you can dine on the beach with your feet in the sand! There are also daytime "discos" and night time dancing.
In Antibes there is plenty of shopping, bars and restaurants and yachts to look at!
Please note that some previous reviews are from my old apartment.
This is my new apartment, and you will have the whole property by yourself!
I have a new sofa bed for 2016, as the previous one wasn't to everyone's satisfaction. The new bed is 130 cm wide, perfectly fine for a couple but if you are 2 friends please let us know so that we can prepare the spare mattress for you.
Light and spacious, you can enjoy a nice sized bathroom and have the amenities you need for your stay.
Hair dryer, iron and ironing board is available.
In the summer months there can be a bit of traffic during rush hour. On the other hand you won't have the screaming going on in the old town of Antibes during the night and this is a very safe area.
There is a "Black book" where I have written down my favorite places to hang out, secluded beaches and good places to eat, shop and fun days out. You are more than welcome to add any info!!!
You will be able to enjoy my home like it's your home. A nice separate area for wardrobes and changing offers a clutter free home!
Please note that all house info is in English.
Interaction with guests
You will be welcomed by either me or a friend of mine if I am away and you will have a phone number to contact us for any reason.
Since I arrived to Cap d'Antibes I call it "the Truman Show", because it's so friendly compared to other parts of the Cote d'Azur. It's a real treat to be here after a busy day in town or on the beach.
I also love walking around the Cap, on the dramatic coastal path, looking at the beautiful belle epoque villas or dream myself away on the beach as the yachts drive past out at sea.
A great bakery and local grocery shop and newsagent are a few minutes away and so is the beach.
There is free parking in the neighborhood. Make sure no sat nav or cables are visible, at the end of the day this is one of the "hot spots" in Europe and even if this is a safe area just don't invite thieves to have a field day!
Bus stop 20 yards from the house. Train station Juan les pins 10 min walk.
Most beaches, bars. shops and restaurants are within walking distance.
The nearest beach is 3 min walk away.
Other things to note
We try to make sure that when you arrive you can settle in with a nice glass of wine, coffee and snacks. There is toilet paper, coffee, tea and enough olive oil, vinegar, toilet paper etc while you get settled into your temporary home.
Linen, towels, blankets all here as well.
One change / week.
Spending time the garden in the evening is one of the most wonderful things about the "Chateaux Tommy experience", but please no loud music after 22 pm or shouting/wild partying.
Smokers are welcome to smoke in the garden but not inside the apt.
If you brake anything please let us know. We won't charge you for the odd glass or plate but for more serious stuff that you have mishandled then we will need to be reimbursed for it.
No food or sweet drink left outdoors at night or on counter tops. To avoid any "wilderness" issues it's important not to leave anything edible outside of the fridge or sealed storage.
Please leave the apartment clean when you leave. Wash dishes, give the shower, bathroom and kitchen a quick clean up and take the garbage out, and please sweep the floor.
Check in is between 15.00 hours and 19.30 hours. Should you check in later there will be an additional fee, unless your flight is delayed or cancelled.
For pet owners, we have a pet towel and pet blanket. No pees or poos in the garden, as it's fake grass. The nearest tree is one meter/3 feet outside of the house. Max 1 dog/stay. Only small to medium sized dogs.
Please do not press "accept" any offers from TV channels that are at extra cost. I will have clear instructions regarding this. But the offered channels have BBC, CNN and Sky News in English and a few French channels.
If you do accept any offers that are outside the included channels you will have to pay for it.
This area is safe, compared to the centre of Antibes, but if you do arrive by car, do not leave any objects of interest visible to thieves. Also, do not leave laptops or Ipods/Ipads in the garden.
You will be given one set of keys, if you lose them it's 70 euro to call the change over lady + make a new set.
Also, for the garbage room that is in the back of the building there is a special (and expensive key!). There is a garbage place near the house you can use, so really no need for the key. But if you wish to use the garbage room, I will ask 50 euro deposit for it.
Hi! I grew up in Italy and then lived in the UK, Thailand, Maldives, USA, Central America and now in France.
I am an expat and having worked not only as an underwater film maker and artist, but also with guest relations, I love meeting people and making sure that they have a great experience, no matter in what situation.
I travel the world with my art and with King Tommy, my dog from India, and as a guest I know what a treat it is to arrive to a nice place to stay, and I try my best to make sure that you, as my guest, have the same feeling when you arrive to Chateaux Tommy!
