Charming and Cosy P-Berg Haven

Apartment - Entire home/apt · Isländische Straße, Berlin, Berlin 10439, Germany

The Space

Beautiful, cosy, modern and well equipped flat in a quiet street of Prenzlauer Berg!

Perfect for singles, couples, small families (there's a very comfy bed in separate bedroom, plus a sofa bed too), it's a great area with excellent cafés and amenities (top tips in the guestbook): 5 mins walk from the Mauerpark and with excellent transport links (S Bornholmer Str. 6 mins, Schoenhauser Allee 10 mins, Gesundbrunnen 10 mins).

Ground floor, in the back yard with a small terrasse... a very quiet house, you'll sleep like a dream.

Fast wireless internet connection, and free calls to all European fixed line (landline) numbers included. Parking in the street is still free, and when I am not around my good friend Sonja lives in the same house and will welcome you. I also have an excellent cleaner well worth the charge.

The eat-in kitchen is beautiful and extremely well equipped, there is a bath tub, and very good heating for those cold winter days. Washing machine too. Towels and linen provided.

I am a professional musician and PhD student, away for my studies and performances.
Lots of books here too :-)

Like I say, it's a quiet house and so please if you're looking for somewhere to party this is definitely not the place... and please only non-smoking too!

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • Tom's apartment was really perfect. Possibly the nicest sublet I've stayed in so far! So spacious and full of light, big windows and a beautiful cozy kitchen. Very close to the the S Bahn so easily accessible from anywhere. Also, the piano was in wonderful condition and was such a lovely addition! Comfortable bed, great couch, iPod speakers for movie-watching and music-listening, just overall a fantastic place to stay. :)

  • We spent 18 days in Tom's flat and it was great! We were very comfortable, the description of the apartment is correct and lived up to our expectations. Cozy bedroom (impressive silent), very good bed, large bathroom. It is a close walk to the metro (Bornholmer) and it is easy to get around the city. Not really in the heart of Prenzlauer Berg, it is in a nice quiet neighborhood, but walking distance to so many shops and restaurants. Perfect for us. Bikes was really a good choice in summer, very recommended!
as a bonus we find really good music to discover and listen. We did not meet Tom personally (maybe next time), but we had a good comunication by email. He was very friendly and responded very promptly to any queries we had during our stay there. Overall, very positive experience.

  • We had a really brilliant time in Berlin, and Tom's flat is excellent - immaculately clean, spacious and well-equipped - and amazing value too. We didn't meet Tom as he was away, but he gave very helpful recommendations for good local restaurants, shops and travel links.

The only reason I'd leave off a star is that the flat is a good 15-20 minutes' walk from the more exciting end of Prenzlauer Berg (and Schonhauser Allee station). This does mean it's lovely and quiet, though, and if you rented a bicycle you'd have no problem.

The best local experience I'd recommend was the Mauerpark fleamarket on Sunday, which is easily walkable from the flat. As well as the enormous market there's the karaoke at 3pm, which was hilarious viewing and perfect for a sunny afternoon (closed over winter, though).

Overall a fantastic stay - highly recommended.
