Escape the everyday routine and immerse yourself in the rhythm of country life at Dogwood Hills Guest Farm. Here, you get the absolute best of both worlds: a completely private, spacious, and fully equipped farmhouse all to yourself, set on a vibrant, working family homestead. Wake up to peaceful mountain views, watch animals grazing in the pastures right below your deck, and unwind under certified dark skies.
The space
The farmhouse is completely separate from the main barn and our personal residence, ensuring you have total privacy during your retreat.
• The Comforts: Includes a full kitchen, comfortable bedrooms, and plenty of space for families to spread out and relax.
• The Boundaries: While you’ll see our animals grazing just outside your windows, please note that all animals live outdoors—giving you a true farm perspective with total cleanliness inside your living space.
Guest access
Want to do more than just look? You can fully customize your stay. Let us know if you would like to add a curated “morning on the farm” experience to your visit. You can join us in the barn to:
• Gather fresh eggs straight from the chicken coops.
• Milk the cows or goats and feed the ducks, sheep, and our donkey.
• Hike the back 40 with our friendly free-ranging goats (just remember to leave the pasture gates exactly how you found them!).
Other things to note
•While you will love slow mornings on our working homestead, our location makes it incredibly easy to experience the ultimate Ozarks road trip. We are centrally located to the region’s best hidden gems and historic landmarks:
• The Buffalo National River & Buffalo Point (Only a Few Miles Away): We are just minutes from the nation's first national river! Head down to Buffalo Point to explore iconic hiking trails (like the Indian Rockhouse Trail), marvel at the massive limestone bluffs, go swimming, or launch a canoe/kayak for a day on the crystal-clear water.
• The Kenda Drive-In: Take a nostalgic step back in time at the historic Kenda Drive-In Movie Theater in nearby Marshall. It is one of the last authentic, family-run drive-ins operating in Arkansas. Grab some classic concessions, roll the windows down, and catch a movie under the stars.
• Ozark Folk Culture & Music: Immerse yourself in local history, old-time string music, and traditional pioneer crafts. The region is rich with Ozark heritage, giving you a true taste of mountain culture right down the road.
• Antiquing & Local Treasures: Spend an afternoon hunting for unique rustic treasures, vintage farmhouse decor, and local Ozark relics at the nearby antique shops scattered through our historic mountain communities.
•• Historic Yellville & The Arts (Just a Short Drive Away): Head over to the historic town square of Yellville to explore a vibrant community hub packed with small-town charm.
• Lucky Star Handmade: A must-visit nonprofit artist cooperative right on the square. It showcases beautiful handcrafted work—like pottery, paintings, and jewelry—from more than 70 local Ozark artists. They also serve artisan baked goods, host live music, and offer creative workshops.
• Gourmet Local Dining:
• The Springhouse: Nestled nearby on Canoers Loop, The Springhouse is a spectacular hidden gem for farm-to-table dining. They craft incredible, unforgettable dishes and specialty refreshments using locally sourced Ozark ingredients. It’s highly allergy-conscious and offers excellent options for those needing gluten-free or dietary-friendly adjustments (be sure to reserve a table in advance!).
• Farm Rules: This is a functioning agricultural property. We love sharing our lifestyle with guests, but we ask that everyone respect the animals' spaces and ensure pasture gates remain securely closed.
Please wear closed toed shoe when about on the farm.
