Peace and quiet
Guests say this home is in a quiet area.
Wake up to a symphony of bird songs and the occasional view of monkeys. Enjoy freshly brewed coffee on the second floor balcony while bird watching. Order room service from our award-winning restaurant. If you're lucky, your stay could coincide with the sweet scent of flowering Arabica coffee trees planted nearby. Later, go for a guided trek to a secluded waterfall and bathe in the pristine river.
We have two bamboo treehouses, so please contact me if it's booked on the Airbnb calendar.
The space
My husband and I own and operate on of Bali's most unique eco-resorts, Sebatu Sanctuary, which includes these two bamboo treehouses, along with eight other unique eco-accommodations.
Our two bamboo treehouses that we also call bamboo pods since their shape resembles cacao pods when ripe. Each treehouse is two stories with vaulted ceilings that extend eight meters up, which helps to cool the room even during the hottest days.
We’re within walking distance of the village of Sebatu that has a 1000-year old sacred water temple, and is renowned for its Balinese musicians and dancers, along with Bali’s best wood and stone carvers.
Guest access
Our guests have full access to the 25m natural pool with unique bio-filter; the pool water is cleansed using ecological processes including native fish and aquatic plants. The pool overlooks a forested valley below and has a three-meter high waterfall that besides being great fun, increases dissolved oxygen in the pool necessary healthy fish. Bring swim goggles to fully enjoy the experience of swimming with 300 fish. We also have a full-service restaurant specializing in combining the best aspects of Indonesian and Thai cuisines, and room service is available.

Please note that these two accommodations don’t have air conditioning. The bamboo treehouses have seven meter tall vaulted ceilings that keep the bedroom cool, and a highly efficient ceiling fan. We’re also at 600 meters above sea level, where nights tend to be quite cool.

From the host
We're located in a rural setting within walking distance to the historic and culturally rich village of Sebatu. Our village is one of only a handful that has sacred water springs and baths that date over 1,000 years ago. Sebatu is widely known throughout Bali for its waterfall with curative properties and wood and stone craftsmen, including Indonesia's most famous wood carver, Pak Made Ada. His intricate carvings have been given to US Presidents Clinton and Obama when they visited Indonesia.
Additionally, our village is well known for its superb Balinese gamelan musicians, many of those musicians, starting in the 1970s have toured Europe and the US.

My work: Eco-resort Mgr&Owner
My husband and I own and operate one of Bali's most unique eco-resorts called Sebatu Sanctuary. On site, we own an award-winning restaurant.
I love to travel and have visited New Zealand and Australia several times, along with Italy, France and Switzerland. For me, it's exciting seeing new places, but also I love Bali and enjoy sharing the island's enchanting culture and beautiful places with our guests.
