Make some fun memories happen at this unique and family-friendly place. Historic family barn turned into a unique get-away. Right on the edge of town down Hall St. See the sights of NE Iowa Breweries-Pivos,Toppling Goliath minutes drive. Hike, kayak, fish the Upper Iowa River. The living access is on the second floor up the steps or use the ramp which is Handicap accessible. Have an Outdoor Wedding, rent a tent. plenty of lawn space. Have a reunion, grooms dinner, etc. Bring your dog!

The space
This is the family farmhouse barn redone into the Owl's Nest. Please enjoy your stay, and treat it like you would your home.
4 main bedrooms with queen size beds. Fun annex room with full/twin plus another twin for kids to sleep. The Owl's Nest is on 3 acres of land. Feel like you have come home to the farm.

Guest access
If you have only booked for 6 people then you will have access to the 3 main bedrooms, the 2 full baths, living room, kitchen, dining area, nook off the kitchen, back enclosed porch with access to the huge 2nd floor deck, the back hallway. If you book for more than 6 adults, then you need to request a key and pay extra for the annex rooms , with full queen bed on the west side and fun kids access on the east side. You have access to the open wire bin that the fire pit, access to the deck on top with a grill. No other outer buildings. No access to the bottom part of the barn, that is a private area. Thank you!

Other things to note
This is also Handicap accessible. No Smoking in the house or on the upper deck area.

One of 8 kids that grew up on the Uhlenhake Farm, my brother made the barn into a house and I wanted to keep it in the family. The barn and farm have been in the family for over 75 yrs. Owls Nest comes from the german meaning of Uhlenhake meaning owl farmer, hence the name The Owls Nest. Come enjoy some time on the farm and enjoy North East Iowa.
