The space
Piedras Hermosas is a spacious split level mountain home with character, tucked into a quiet corner of Kernville. Located at the southern edge of Sequoia National Forest, the home offers easy access to the Kern River, nearby hiking trails, and the scenic beauty that makes Kernville such a special getaway. Wildlife is part of the mountain experience, so you may spot deer, bears, bobcats, and a variety of birds during your stay.

When you arrive, you step into a large sunken living area filled with natural light and anchored by a fireplace. It is a welcoming space to gather for meals, play cards, or simply relax. The kitchen is fully stocked for preparing meals at home. Just off the dining room, the solarium leads to the backyard pool and game room, where you will find a Smart TV, pool table, darts, and a bar area.

Upstairs, the primary suite includes a king bed, an adjoining nursery room, and views overlooking the backyard and unheated pool. The primary bathroom is spacious and offers plenty of room for two. Also on the second level are two additional bedrooms with queen beds that share a bathroom. The Bear Room includes a roll top secretary desk for work or quiet time. Above the game room is the Owl Loft, which serves as the fourth sleeping area and includes two twin beds.

Guest access
The entire space is yours. You'll be able to access the house through a lock box and keys.

Other things to note
There is a half bath off the kitchen, and the washer and dryer are located next to the pantry.

The home uses an evaporative cooling system rather than central air.

The fourth sleeping area is the Owl Loft. Since loft is not available as a listing option, it may appear as a bedroom. This area has access to the cooling system. If airflow seems limited, please check that the ceiling vents are open. Portable fans are also available for added comfort.
