Welcome to Beachwalk Bungalow - a newly renovated coastal beauty in a prime location! Just a 5 minute walk to Shipyard’s private beach, and the community pool is steps from your front door.
Unwind with plenty of space to relax: 2 family rooms, a large eat-in kitchen & 2 owner’s suites offer comfort for all. Fire up the gas grill and lounge on the deck with a drink in hand.
Traveling with kids? We have tons of free gear for you, including beach chairs, towels, toys, cribs & way more!!
The space
Beachwalk Bungalow sits in Shipyard’s best neighborhood - the closest to the beach! Our spot at the front of the community means the shortest walk possible to the sand, and we’re directly across the cul-de-sac from the large community pool - a favorite for kids and adults alike.
Step inside to our newly renovated main level with a spacious living room, powder room with full-size washer/dryer, and an open family room, fully stocked kitchen, and dining area.
A sliding glass door leads to an oversized deck with views of palm trees - perfect for soaking up HHI’s beauty. Out back, you’ll find a propane grill ready for you!
Upstairs offers 3 bedrooms and 3 full baths. Two Owner’s Suites feature King beds and en-suite baths.
The third bedroom includes two brand new twin beds plus a trundle, with a full bath across the hall. All bedrooms are spacious with ample closet space.
The primary suite also has a brand new 65” 4K TV and a desk for remote work if you must work on vacation!
Need extra sleeping space? We’ve got a queen air mattress for you, plus a pull-out sofa bed in the family room.
Enjoy TVs in all bedrooms and both family rooms with Disney+ Basic, free Netflix and HBO, and you're also welcome to stream with your own logins.
Parking is easy with free, unmarked spots in the cul-de-sac and bike parking - perfect since Hilton Head’s scenic paths are best explored by bike! *Due to our insurance requirements, you need to rent your own bikes*
Traveling with little ones? We make it effortless with complimentary baby and toddler gear, including:
- Full-size crib & mini crib (both with firm mattresses & sheets)
- Pack & play (BYO sheet)
- VTech audio baby monitor (non-wifi)
- Diaper pail, blackout curtains, baby swing, bath, high chair, and baby gate
- Books, toys, beach gear, baby dishes, and bibs
Beach & pool essentials include:
- Plenty of beach towels
- Beach wagon
- Beach chairs, umbrella, and pop-up tent (fits 3-4)
- Pool noodles, boogie boards, and more
Please note: The community pool is not heated. It is open April 1 through October 31, and is closed November 1 through March 31.
For expectations for the house: The entire main level of the house is renovated and in great condition. The upper level bathrooms are more “that was cute in the 80s” - we will renovate them at some point. 😊

The home will be entirely yours for the duration of your stay. The community pool is shared with other guests. Beachwalk Bungalow is located inside a private development called Shipyard Plantation. By staying within Shipyard, you have access to the community's private beach (one of the nicest on HHI!) and all of the bike paths throughout Shipyard.

- The fireplace is just for looks - please don’t use it :)

Neighborhood highlights
Beachwalk Bungalow is located within the "Beachwalk" neighborhood of Shipyard Plantation. Shipyard is a private resort that can only be accessed by guests. This means by staying with us you get access to Shipyard's beautiful private beach (Hilton Head's beaches are so gorgeous - white sand, with warm, calm water) and all of the bike paths connecting throughout the development and its neighborhoods.
The Beachwalk neighborhood has its own community pool which is directly across the cul-de-sac from our home. We love having a day at the beach and coming back to splash in the pool whenever we've had enough heat and sun before coming all the way home!
There are a few other important conveniences within Shipyard and near Beachwalk that you'll want to know about:
- The Sonesta hotel and resort is directly across from Beachwalk. Although the main amenities are for hotel guests (such as their pool), you are welcome to access their restaurants, spa, and gift shop (very convenient when you need to grab a quick drink or snack without leaving Shipyard!)
- During the summer season, there is a snack stand right outside the beach boardwalk entrance.
- Beachwalk is also right across from Van Der Meer Tennis Center. If you are a tennis enthusiast (or wannabe enthusiast) they offer clinics, private lessons, and round robins on a daily basis.
- Shipyard Golf Club offers 27 holes of great golf and scenic views!
- There are public pickleball courts right outside Shipyard on Cordillo parkway, as well as several great local spots to play and take clinics.
The Shipyard development is on the southern end of the island which is rich with amenities for vacation visitors. It is super convenient to anything you'd need or want to do on the island - restaurants, shops, activities for adults and kids alike, bike routes, mini golf, and more!
The Beachwalk neighborhood has its own community pool which is directly across the cul-de-sac from our home. We love having a day at the beach and coming back to splash in the pool whenever we've had enough heat and sun before coming all the way home!

My husband Andrew and I are delighted to be hosting our first Airbnb property in Hilton Head, South Carolina! Our property has very special meaning: I've been vacationing there since I was a young child, and we got married there in 2011. It has been our dream to acquire a home there and we have finally achieved it! We are very excited to share our property with our guests, and also share our secret tips to make the most out of visiting the island. We just welcomed our first child into our family last year, baby Austin, and will be making lots of memories with him at the island, too!
