Extra spacious

Guests love this home’s spaciousness for a comfortable stay.
Wake up to a view of a 19th-century gristmill right outside your window β€” then walk across the street to explore it. The Rock Mill Farmhouse is a thoughtfully renovated 1846 home that was once the dwelling of the mill's keeper, and it still carries that history in every room: exposed original siding and beams, a winding staircase, an original A-frame ceiling in the upstairs bedroom, and a few charmingly low doorways that keep tall guests humble.

The space
Perfectly positioned between vibrant downtown Columbus and the caves and waterfalls of Hocking Hills State Park (each a 35-minute drive), the farmhouse makes an ideal base for weekend adventurers β€” or a peaceful escape all on its own.

Step through the original farmhouse entrance into a spacious mudroom, and the entry table has everything you need to get settled. From there, make your way into a bright and fully appointed eat-in kitchen with open shelving, granite countertops, modern appliances, and a French press ready to go. A laundry room is just off the kitchen.

The dining room doubles as a mini museum of the home's history, with exposed siding and original beams on full display. Head upstairs past a sun-filled reading nook and a cozy under-the-stairs workspace. Speedy wifi (448 mbps) makes this idyllic for remote work.

The living room is where the magic happens: settle into the couch for a picture-perfect view of the old mill and covered bridge right through the window.

Continuing up the winding staircase, you'll find a bold queen bedroom with panoramic windows that frame a wooded sunrise every morning, plus a second bedroom with twin beds and the home's original A-frame β€” a favorite with guests.
