Relaxed barn life by the forest pond

JiPPii! The guest house of Taskupohja, Hippitasku, is open again.

Discover your inner hippie and come for an abundance of color immersion in the midst of beautiful countryside. You'll have access to a private sauna and fire pit by your own forest pond under the arm of a grove forest.

The nature trail and the nearby flowing canal provide casual living during the cottage wood chop. In our good windy village you will find services and a real country feel.

Feel very welcome!

The space
A colorful barn with eclectic amenities awaits you in a hippie pocket. We want to offer whimsy vibes that you can power up to take home. Good spirits come from the little things!

Here's how the facilities are equipped:

Sleeping - or falling over! - in the pillow sea of a double bed. For the third visitor, we'll make a floor mattress if needed.

The bright barn also has a small fireplace, lots to read, play, and explore.

For cooking, we suggest a bonfire gourme, although there is a possibility of simple granary cooking; a small kitchen and equipment (dishes for many uses, a refrigerator, a hot plate, an electric kettle, a coffee filter & jug combination).

In the hippie sauna, you can get topaka steam, and there are only a few steps from the benches to the small forest pond. On the terrace of the sauna, the mind is fluttered. Especially in spring and rainy weather, you can also enjoy the sound of the natural stream.

You can spend the blissful moments of the hot tub by the pond. Thank you for inquiring about the possibility of renting a hot tub already at the time of booking (120 eur/barn holiday).

In the yard of a hippie pocket, by the pond, there is also a fire pit with grilling equipment.

Information about the environment and services:

On foot, you can reach both the nature trail and the canal scenery. It's fun to spend a day on the canal with a picnic and a boating crowd.
Along the marked hiking trail, you'll find some great scenery, a clear-water pond, and a fire pit for views.

Our rural village, Vuolenkoski, watered with warm cow's milk, is a must visit. It's only about a five-minute drive from Pocket to the services and to the riverside farmhouse. A village shop, a beachfront restaurant with sun decks and performers, a cafe, a bakery, and a pet farm will be happy to serve you. There is also a good, sandy beach in the heart of the village (+ dressing rooms and toilet).

Please also check out our Airbnb guidebook for other places to visit nearby. There are a lot of them.

Note: Please note that there is no other heater in the barn in addition to the fireplace when booking and gearing up. It's nice to remember, especially in spring and fall.

Other things to note
Please note that we have a nice dog and cats available on our farm - Warm thanks!

If you come with a pet, special attention should be paid to the final cleaning of the barn and yard area, or we charge guests a cleaning fee of 150eur.

Please note that there is no running water in the barn and sauna. Bathing takes place in a traditional style in sauna facilities with heated pond water.
Toilet = outhouse.

The guest should know how to handle fire and tools used to make firewood.

A 10 litre of drinking water (more for longer stays) is booked for guests.

Where you’ll be

Iitti, Finland

At the bottom of the pocket, we're all around in the middle of nature. The always seasonal and weather pervasive nature experiences are our daily happiness. You can also reach the lake nature and hiking trails from us without a car.
Our other guests also accommodate the space, but the distances between the cottages guarantee everyone their own territory.
There are summer residents in the area, although they're not quite close to the space either. Cottageers use the dirt road that passes the space. In the summer, there is also a joyful boating trap on the canal.
Summer sheep in our space (August-October) are free to scratch the pasture, and the dog and cats that hang out are also human cozy people.
