Tall Hill Lake House is a cozy chalet, nestled in the Poconos Lakes Region, minutes from Lake Wallenpaupack and the quaint towns of Hawley and Honesdale. The chalet is located in a gated community, well balanced between woods isolation and plenty of amenities for all seasons. The Lake and North Beach are a 5 minute walk, and you have access to heated swimming pools, golf course, tennis, basketball, pickleball, gym, skiing, tubing and more!
The space
The chalet is on three floors, and offers a front and a back outdoor patio. The ground floor can be accessed through our French Doors, and leads to the downstairs living area, which includes a game area, a bathroom, a bedroom, and the laundry closet, with an additional closet. The middle floor is where the main entrance is; it includes kitchen and dining room, living room with fireplace, and a bedroom. The third floor includes the loft with the music/reading room, open to the floor underneath, a bathroom, and the Master bedroom. The front patio includes a little bistro table for a couple's breakfast, and the back patio has a grilll and a table for six with an umbrella.
This home is located within a gated community. Registration is required 3 days prior to arrival date. An email address must be provided to Rental Manager can send the registration form. This is a community requirement and not within control of the homeowner. Community will impose a $100.00 rush fee if this step is not completed in time. All drivers must stop at the main gate for gate passes. All drivers must show a valid drivers license and valid vehicle registration for entry into community. There are no exceptions. No discounts or refunds will be given if any guest is denied access to the community due to not having these forms upon arrival.
Garbage must be removed from the property at check out. There is a local trash facility - please see documents at the house for location and hours. Starter supplies for paper towels, toilet paper, dishwashing soup, hand soap, garbage bags provided. Please plan for any additional needs accordingly.
Guest access
You will have the entire place for yourself, except two closets where we keep replenishments for next guests.
Other things to note
Pets are conditionally allowed! A maximum of 2 well-mannered dogs. We will require information about behavior, proof of vaccinations, and reserve the right to deny your reservation if we feel your pup is not a good fit. Rules apply on dogs in the Community, obviously you must clean up after your dog and they have to be leashed at all times outdoors, among other rules.
In the closet at the ground floor entrance you can find extra foldable chairs and a foldable table that can be used for a laptop. It is also furnished with ice melt salt for the freezing days.

HOLD HARMLESS WAIVER - THE GUESTS ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THERE IS A TWIN OVER FULL BUNK BED IN ONE BEDROOM AND THAT THE TOP BED IS ACCESSED BY A LADDER.
WEIGHT LIMIT ON THE TOP BED IS 220 LBS. GUEST USE IS AT YOUR OWN RISK AND WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR MISUSE OR INJURY.
Parking pass is required for each vehicle entering the community and will be available at security office at the Hideout entrance. Identification and car make/model info is needed by security to issue parking pass. Only the amount of people listed on the reservation is permitted in the home.
ALL GUESTS MUST CHECK-IN AT THE MAIN GATE TO GET GUEST PACKET AND TO OBTAIN ACCESS.
There will be a registration form required to be filled out at least 3 days prior to your arrival for gate access. All drivers must show a valid drivers license and valid vehicle registration upon check in. There are no exceptions to this community requirement. There is a central trash facility for all owners and guests to use located within a 2 minute drive from the house. Trash is not picked up at the house and cannot be left at the house upon departure.
The Chalet is equipped with two security cameras outside the building: one is facing out, overlooking the front driveway, while the second one is on the side of the building, overlooking the rest of the driveway going up the hill. No cameras or noise recording devices are inside the house.
The community can close any amenity at their discretion, including lake usage. Homeowner is not responsible and will not offer discounts or refunds for any non-use; includes weather related closures.
