Bed and Breakfast "Leonardo da Vinci" is a receptive family accommodation in Florence, near to Accademia Museum and Piazza San Marco. Our neighborhood is around Piazza Savonarola, a nineteen - first twentieth century establishment; our building was built around 1880 and it has his ancient furniture. In our family we have always attached importance to the eating, and so with the room, you'll have a real rich breakfast, with coffee, milk, tea, orange squash, yoghurt, fresh fruits, jam, bread, brioches, eggs... On guest demand, we can also prepare a tuscan dinner, with recipes that are in the family tradition since ever, as our family cames from a village in Florence countryside (they were farmers); some dishes are bread soup (zuppa di pane), liver small crust (crostini di fegatini), Roast "dead" rabbit (coniglio arrosto morto), tomato soup (pappa al pomodoro). On request I can give some cooking lessons, with choice of the menu. Each lesson includes three recipes. Dinner price euro 35 per person; dinner with cooking lesson euro 50 per person. During dinner, Tuscan wine is included. This double room "white bedroom" (camera bianca), has a large bed and a shared bathroom, with towels, bathrobe, hair-dryer and toilet (website hidden) and free wifi are available. We can help you to book Uffizi and other museums, and also to suggest itineraries and things to do in Florence and surroundings.
Price includes all taxes, City of Florence tourism tax too.
Please notice that the room is a double room and it can accomodate only two persons; we can't accept extra people inside.

Our stay with Carla and her children was amazing !!! They were extremely friendly and provided very valuable advices to visit Florence. We had the chance to share a dinner with all of them and it was a great experience that we will remember. I definitely recommend this place for an immersion in the culture from Tuscany !!!!
Me and my friend stayed for 2 days. Carla welcomed me as if we were her daughters with warm hug :) She was kind and friendly, and cared about us even though we were just guest. Room was spacious and clean, also sweet candies and mineral waters were there for us. I personally liked how Carla decorated her house. You can spend your holiday in neat and well-decorated house :D Also breakfast is just beyond perfect. Best breakfast I ever enjoyed. We had early train at the day we're leaving, but we could not skip the breakfast even though we didn't have enough time :). We loved our stay in Carla's bnb, and of course I highly recommend it!
Easy and friendly greeting (flexible times). Very nice breakfasts, with friendly advice for touring Firenze. Basic room with shared bathroom, all we needed for a great stay.
Carla made me felt I was at home with my grandma. Her whole family is so nice to me and my wife. They gave us lots of suggestions about city. The place is close to the bus stop but actually it is all walk distance everywhere. Supermarket is 4mins walk, Carla would be happy if you have a chat with her about cooking. I highly recommend this place, I will be here next time when I am in Italy.
A delightful host. The room was a little small but this is an old Florentine home. Felt like a home with Carla fussing aroud like mum. Very enjoyable experience, just what we wanted in a home stay. Made us feel part of the family.
My daughter and I had a wonderful time chez Carla; it was a special experience. The room is beautiful with huge windows (original shutters inside and out) that open onto a courtyard with magnificent palm tree overlooking Tuscan tiled roof. The house is full of books and beautiful paintings including those painted by the yet to be discovered Elizabetta. We dined with Carla and her family, delicious Tuscan food, no pizza or spaghetti! Thanks to Alberto's videos of Carla in the kitchen, I am going home to make a cavalo nero white bean broth. The whole family know so much about Florence, it's history and it's art and were very helpful with planning our stay and onwards travel. Grazie Carlo.
