About this listing
Bed and Breakfast "Leonardo da Vinci" is a receptive family accommodation in Florence, near to Accademia Museum and Piazza San Marco. Our neighborhood is around Piazza Savonarola, a nineteen - first twentieth century establishment; our building was built around 1880 and it has his ancient furniture. In our family we have always attached importance to the eating, and so with the room, you'll have a real rich breakfast, with coffee, milk, tea, orange squash, yoghurt, fresh fruits, jam, bread, brioches, eggs... On guest demand, we can also prepare a tuscan dinner, with recipes that are in the family tradition since ever, as our family cames from a village in Florence countryside (they were farmers); some dishes are bread soup (zuppa di pane), liver small crust (crostini di fegatini), Roast "dead" rabbit (coniglio arrosto morto), tomato soup (pappa al pomodoro). On request I can give some cooking lessons, with choice of the menu. Each lesson includes three recipes. Dinner price euro 35 per person; dinner with cooking lesson euro 50 per person. During dinner, Tuscan wine is included. This double room "white bedroom" (camera bianca), has a large bed and a shared bathroom, with towels, bathrobe, hair-dryer and toilet (website hidden) and free wifi are available. We can help you to book Uffizi and other museums, and also to suggest itineraries and things to do in Florence and surroundings.
Price includes all taxes, City of Florence tourism tax too.
Please notice that the room is a double room and it can accomodate only two persons; we can't accept extra people inside.

We had a fantastic time, Carla and her family taught us how to cook real Tuscan food and we then ate it with them. Was absolutely great, lovely house and room, lovely hosts and amazing location. If you go to Florence, definitely stay at Leonardo da Vinci B&B it will be the highlight of your trip!
My host, Carla, had very lovely, kindness, caring, gentlewoman. She and her family helped me a lot for everything: finding cheap flight , addresses, information, ...... . Their house was clean and comfortable. I had very good time there. I highly recommend their B&B . All things they said about the room was true. the location was perfect to go visit Florance by bus or walking. They were very welcoming. Also, the dinner that I had with them was awesome and it worth to ask her to cook the traditional meal of Tuscany.
Stay at Carla's place was a fantastic experience for us! She is such a sweet & kind person.
I accidentally left my phone in taxi and she helped me out with finding my phone (and luckily found it, which was all thanks to her great help!)
The area is close from the city center and in a quiet beautiful area. Her place is very beautiful. Most importantly, she welcomed us like a family which made us feel like at home. In the morning, she prepared delicious breakfast for us.
I'd definitely stay here and meet her again when in Florence!
Our stay with Carla at B&B Leonardo da Vinci was definitely a highlight of our visit to Italy. Carla was prompt and helpful through email communication ahead of our trip, offering us some tips and advice to help with our planning. She gave us clear directions to find her home and made us feel immediately welcome when we arrived. It was an easy 15 minute to the centre of the city and the room was comfortable, clean and quiet. My husband and I were sorry we only had two days in Florence. Our favourite part of our stay in this beautiful city were a cooking lesson with Carla and a chance to share a meal with her and her lovely family. They made us feel very welcome in their home, encouraged us in our very limited Italian, and helped us learn more about the food and culture of the Tuscan region. We will not soon forget our wonderful evening with them. We would both enthusiastically recommend a stay - and cooking lesson - with Carla if you are visiting Florence. Grazie mille a tutti. Speriamo di rivederti.
Cara Elisabetta e Stefano, I thank you very much for your kind words, è stato un vero piacere conoscervi, ci siamo molto divertiti insieme, vero? Spero tanto che ci possiamo incontrare di nuovo. In Florence there is about 35°! Tanti saluti da me e Alberto e Elisabetta.
Carla and her son were both great! They gave perfect instructions for the bus and a map so we could walk back into town.
Carla and her family are all soooooo kind! We had a great dinner which is the best part of our stay in Florence. Everything is perfect, we had a great sleep there. Even I bothered Carla when I left, Carla helped me a lot. Soooo moved
