Welcome! Our yurt is located on a small farm sanctuary in the Finger Lakes, within walking distance of Taughannock Falls State Park and the Black Diamond Trail. It's equipped with a kitchen and bathroom. Sleeping accommodations are in an upstairs loft or downstairs futon. The yurt is connected to WIFI and is heated & cooled with a solar powered heat pump. Guests are invited to the farm to experience a pause in nature and find renewal.

Other things to note
The yurt is located behind our home, in the back of a barnyard. For the safety of the farm animals, no pets are allowed.

A deck with two chairs overlooks a view of fields and grazing animals. A picnic table table sits under a canopy of trees for outdoor meals. Sunsets and stars are often visible from the deck. The yurt has a ramp and fully accessible bathroom. In summer and fall, kayaks and paddle boards are available to rent at Taughannock Falls State Park.

Our location is within walking distance of Taughannock Falls State Park and the Black Diamond Trail.  The Black Diamond is a downhill bike ride to Ithaca and connects to the Waterfront Trail. The yurt is close to the Village of Trumansburg, City of Ithaca, and Watkins Glen. Previous guests have enjoyed its proximity to the Wine Trails, State Parks, Farmer's Market, Science Museum, Cayuga Nature Center, Johnson Museum, Cabin View Alpaca Farm and Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge.

We are located in a rural agricultural district. During planting and harvesting, guests may encounter the sounds of farm machinery and the smells of manure.

The yurt is insulated and heated/cooled with a solar powered heat pump. A space heater is provided for additional heat during winter months. A fan and air purifier are provided to circulate air.

Insects, such as spiders or flies, may find their way into the yurt (although we use traps).

The yurt is usually quiet, yet strong wind and rain can be loud (like a tent). Neighbors may occasionally target practice or work on cars. Earplugs are provided in the yurt. If you prefer more quiet, it can be helpful to bring noise cancelling headphones.

If loft spaces or stairs aren't comfortable for you, just let us know before your visit and we can make up the futon downstairs.

It's very dark here at night (with lots of stars). A flashlight can be useful to bring!
