Cabana del Oso is forested on three sides at the end of a cul-de-sac and is one of the most secluded in the community. You look out the front window at the forest from all sides. Amenities include a kitchen with all the basics, AC, a cedar sauna and soaking tub, a wood stove, cable internet, BBQ, games, fire pits, cornhole, and a hammock on half of an acre of land. The house even has a hiking trail around the property.

The space
Upon arrival at Cabana del Oso (Bear Cabin), you can immediately take to the tranquility of your surroundings--only one neighbor adjacent, unlike most rentals in Packwood
Guests can enjoy the comforts of home--cable internet, FireTV 55" flat screen (Paramount+, HBO) and a fully equipped kitchen--down to the paper towels, grill equipment, and a sampling of handmade lavender soap we make on the property. To start your day, enjoy a cup of Keurig coffee and a few snacks. Upon return from a hike, ski trip, or enjoying Mt. Rainer, guests can relax in an outdoor cedar sauna and hot tub.

--The house has an external security camera facing the driveway, over the front door, and out into the property that remains on 24 hours a day, with no exceptions. Guests have complete privacy (with no cameras) in the house and surrounding the hot tub and sauna area.

---Weekend rentals between Memorial Day and Labor Day require two days minimum and three-day minimum for holiday weekends (Memorial Day, President's Day, 4th of July, Labor Day Weekend). All nationally recognized holidays require a three-night minimum unless otherwise authorized by the owner.

---Photo Note: the primary photo in the ad includes a gas fire pit on the back deck near the hot tub. We have replaced the fire pit with a wood or pellet-burning fire pit, which is smokeless and safer. We also have a fire pit near the garden. Wood for purchase in town.

Guest access
Guests have full access to the sauna and hot tub (upon reviewing and agreeing to rules) BBQ grill, lawn chairs, board games, and corn hole. The gas grill is available Memorial Day to Labor Day.

THIS IS NOT A HOUSE FOR LARGE PARTIES OR LOUD MUSIC! Many other places are more remote in Packwood, and I can put you in contact with other owners. There must never be more than eight people on the property during your stay at any one time, the only exception is by the owner's prior approval.

Other things to note
Pets are allowed on a case-by-case basis. A 50.00 non-refundable pet fee and agreement to the pet rules are required. Airbnb will automatically charge for the first pet, and we will send an additional request at some point during your stay.

Neighborhood highlights

Upper Timberline is arguably the nicest area of Packwood--offering a more secluded feel and a stones throw from the Park and skiing. The house is approximately a two minute drive from Highway 12 and is situated at the end of a cul de sac. The house is wooded on three sides so you get the feel as if you're in a forest house.
