UPDATE: GPS will take you too far, please text or message 30 minutes before arrival so I can meet you. Also, Kelly...The Kelly...is selling firewood bundles for 8.00 each delivered to your camp, this will be pre-split, hardwood. Just message me and he will deliver it.

The space

Finally everything is up after the storm. The pizza oven is running fine, the wood burning hot tub is up, there are some reliability issues with getting water to it but most of the time it is fine, just ask. The woods are feeling crisp and the creek is full of fish. There is a wooded area where you can explore or just sit and think. When you come here it is a very private place where you can spend quality time with a loved one or take time to gather yourself. There is artwork all over the camp and I love to visit about it and give people ideas as well as learn from my visitors. I do not bug the guests but always enjoy being invited down for a visit. I made this place for you all and like to get to know you.

It is hot, I know...but consider the cool depths of the creek, the mud baths, clay treatment and being buried by your friend in the sand to your neck. Pretty soon, the heat just falls away. This place is never rented to more than one group at a time so it is the most valuable, under priced place to get away this side of the Red river.

This creek is very clean and has abundant wildlife in it. Normally only people who own land on this creek have access to it, or limited spaces at highway crossings. The privacy from the public here is perfect for relaxation and stripping off all the burden of the day to day :)
Update: Our two sons have started their own little businesses! Kelly (yes...the Kelly that Kelly's Korner is named after :) is selling bundled firewood for $8/bundle. Max is selling fresh farm eggs and veggies. He will also be more than happy to give you a tour of his garden and have you pick your own veggies and/or fruit! Contact Matt or Gina at 281-725-7911

Guest access
You will have access to the creek, which is a public water way that runs through private property. You must stay in the creek and below its high banks but are free to travel far in both directions.

Other things to note
The creek is wild and (URL HIDDEN) floods and there can be snakes and other beasties....there are bugs now and then although usually the mosquitoes are actually not that bad. There is poison ivy in the woods. There is a range nearby where we shoot sometimes so gunfire may be heard. This farm was the location and we were the stars of the Discovery Channel show "Fire in the Hole". A reality show about an explosives company that manufactured custom explosives for civil and military uses. This is NOT your typical farm....but we love everybody :)

Love nature and the country life. I have a wife, two boys and one sweet little girl we feel so fortunate to be able to live on a farm. I am self employed and a chemist by degree, I operate my own laboratory on our property. We love to share all that we have and enjoy being in nature. We wish to share our beautiful land and creek with like minded people who respect the land. When we travel we pack light as possible and leave as little trace as possible. Love hot springs and exploring places with interesting history. We are both very physically active and enjoy being healthy.
