  • The apartment was very confortable and close to the centre!
Gianpaolo and his family were so kind and understanding of our needs. They let us leave our luggages in the house after the check out time and they even welcomed us with a fruit basket on the day of our arrival. Definitely a great place to stay!

  • Gianpaolo and his family have a wonderful apartment with a beautiful garden right in the center of Florence. They were perfect hosts - and don't hesitate to tell them a joke if you visit. They have a good sense of humor.

  • Gianpaolo and his mother were excellent hosts. They let us know that they were there if we needed anything but also gave us privacy too (they live next door). The apartment is much more than a "place to stay". It is spacious, clean, comfortable, and quaint. We are sorry we didn't get a chance to sit outside on the lovely patio. Great location and very quiet at night. We appreciated the basket of fruit that was left for us too!

  • GP and his family are absolutely lovely, we arrived hungry and tired and after we were shown around, were directed to a fantastic spot. The space was homey and comfortable and our favorite part was starting everyday with coffee in the garden, couldn't ask for more. Everything we wanted to do was within walking distance, but we enjoyed being in more of a local area, a welcome respite from all the tourists.

We couldn't recommend this place more.

  • I couldn't think of a nicer place to stay in Florence. The neighborhood was accessible to everything - train station, duomo, Boboli gardens, hills, restaurants, etc. There were several small markets, artisans, a great cafe and brewery on the same street and it was just enough off the beaten track to give a taste of true life in Florence.

The apartment was a great place to come back to after a long day. The large, beautiful bedroom, very comfortable bed, lush garden and speedy wifi were all we could ask for. The kitchen and bathroom were small, but completely functional and comfortable.

The Vannetti's are avid gardeners and collectors of art and trinkets from around the world. They were very kind hosts and are warm people who we feel lucky to have met!

The only frustration was the few mosquitos that we let inside when we left the french doors to the garden open.

  • What a fantastic apartment!
Gainpaolo's parents met us and showed us around the lovely cosy flat upon arrival. They had left us a beautiful fruit bowl and basic staples - water, juice, coffee, tea etc which was greatly welcomed.
The location was perfect for us - On a main road so was very easy to find and walk to, but the bedroom and kitchen are located at the back so it's incredibly quiet and peaceful. The bedroom and kitchen both have doors onto the beautiful garden, of which the apartment has it's own space. It really made the whole experience for us so special to have an outdoor peaceful haven after the hustle and bustle of Florence.
The hosts were nearby if we needed them but never invaded our privacy.
i really recommend this place - the location, the garden, the hosts (who were so gracious and generous, they even gave me a bottle of bubbly as i was celebrating my birthday, lent us umbrella's, and allowed us to leave our luggage).

  • We loved our stay in Gianpaolo's apartment. Although we didn't meet Gianpaolo we had the pleasure of meeting his lovely parents who settled us in and shared lots of amazing stories of their travels around the world. They were always accommodating and Gianpaolo was always responsive via email. We were very glad we could extend our stay for one more night and explore beautiful Firenze. Highly recommended and hope to be back again soon!

  • More than a place to stay! This is a perfect hideaway in Florence, away from the crowds and in a nice local area, but still walking distance from the main attractions. Gianpaolo and his family were great hosts, and we loved learning about the history of the building and the area. The garden out the back is also a beautiful place for breakfast of if self-catering. Highly recommended!
