Welcome to Elko House, a tiny modernist escape in the heart of Joshua Tree! Tucked away in a private lot filled with Joshua trees and cacti, this luxury Tiny House is the perfect retreat. Relax, unwind, and enjoy the spectacular mountain views, sunsets, and starry skies right from the hot tub. Cozy up by the fire pit under the stars on a cool desert night. Feel one with nature while benefitting from modern amenities! Only a 3 minute drive to town and a 10 minute drive to the main park entrance.

At only 384 square feet, this cozy tiny house is packed with amenities!
-Fully furnished
-High speed internet access - WiFi
-Very comfortable queen size bed
-Fully equipped kitchen with electric stove, fridge, freezer, sink, oven, microwave, cutting board, drying rack, salt/pepper, cooking oil spray
-Dining/work table
-Coffee maker, coffee (from Joshua Tree Coffee Co.), tea
-Cocktail mixer
-Hot tub with panoramic views of the mountains and starry skies
-Gas fire pit with outdoor seating
-TV with Roku for you to sign into your streaming services (you can backlight the TV for a theatrical effect, it's really cool)
-JBL bluetooth speaker for you to connect to
-Washer and dryer (for small loads)
-Long driveway with space for 3 cars (more if tandem park)
-Full size foldable mattress with comforter / sheets / extra pillows (located in closet in bedroom)
-We've got you covered with the little things too: an iron, blow dryer, soap, makeup wipes, towels, cotton balls, plenty of candles, and more

-Work from home with a view! The huge plate glass window in the main room lets natural light pour in and provides a relaxing desert backdrop for your workday

What to bring:
-Personal toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, etc.) - feel free to bring your own shampoo and body wash although we do provide it
-If you are more than 2 people: We do provide a full size foldable mattress with bedding, but you're welcome to bring your own air mattress or futon if you prefer. Also, the couch in the living room is 66" wide, it's not the best sleeping option but I'd say it can fit someone shorter than 5'4"ish :)

Other things to note
Being only 384 square feet, the optimal number of guests would be 1-3, but the house can definitely fit 4 if you're willing to squeeze! You can comfortably fit 2 people in the bed and 2 people on the foldable mattress. The couch can also be an option if you're shorter than 5'4"ish.

If you use the foldable mattress, please fold it up and put it back in the closet when you're done. You can leave the bedding out for the cleaners. Thanks!

Please do your best to conserve energy! (Make sure lights are off, AC only used when you need it + at a reasonable temperature when you exit the house.) Thank you!

There are makeup wipes under the bathroom sink. PLEASE DO NOT WIPE MAKEUP OFF ON TOWELS. If I am running low on wipes please send me a message so I can restock. Thank you.

When you arrive, make sure the hot tub is set to 104 so it's nice and hot by nighttime.

The hot tub is serviced on Mondays and Thursdays at some point between 11am and 3pm. If you are staying there one of those days and would prefer nobody clean the hot tub during your stay just let me know.

This house is equipped with a Ring security system, and there is a front door camera for your safety and to ensure only registered guests are on the property. There are no cameras inside the property.

About 10 minutes to Yucca Valley and 20 minutes to the famous Pioneertown, which was built in the 40s as a western-themed movie set. The house itself is secluded on 1.25 acres of natural desert with Joshua trees and other cool cacti/fauna!

Hi! I'm a guitarist/musician living in Los Angeles and 1/3rd of the band Fortuno. To supplement my frequent Malibu beach trips, I have quickly fallen in love with Joshua Tree. Growing up in Connecticut, I hadn't ever experienced anything quite like the desert, so I was fascinated by its whole essence (monstrous boulders and mountains, tall cacti, incredible sunsets, clear starry skies), and now it has become my favorite vacation spot for quick getaways. After visiting quite a few times, I found this beautiful tiny house for sale overlooking the city of Joshua Tree and tucked privately in its own chunk of desert life. I knew it would be the absolute perfect retreat, where I could relax in the hot tub and enjoy panoramic views of the unbelievable sunsets over the mountains. After spending weekend after weekend there and making some additions, I am so thrilled to be able to share the experience with all of you!
