This is our home, which we occasionally rent during our own vacations or out-of-town work. We leave most dates open on our calendar because we are pretty flexible about whe we can travel, but empty calendar days do not mean dates are definitely available. We will probably need to make our arrangements once you contact us. Therefore, PLEASE DO NOT REQUEST A RESERVATION WITHOUT CONTACTING US FIRST. We prefer month-long tenants in the summer.
Spacious, sunny, quiet, top floor 2br/1 bath, in 3rd floor walkup, with fully stocked galley kitchen, W/D, and separate dining alcove. Available for occasional weekend or week long rentals. Bedroom 1 has a king-sized tempurpedic bed, and bedroom 2 is a den/tv room (Swiss pull-down couch), with 46" LED TV with blu-ray, Apple TV, and netflix.
The location is ground zero Williamsburg, and possibly the most amenity- filled block in NYC. It is also one of the loveliest, in a neighborhood more known for fun than charm. You are less than a block from: Best of NY cinema Nitehawk, Best of NY café Blue Bottle, Best of NY beer hall Radegast, best of NY yoga Kula and MODO, best of NY chocolate shop Mast Brothers, best of NY restaurant Egg, a great bookstore (Book Thug Nation), Yelp favorite Barber (Tommy Guns), as well as a 24 hr drugstore, gym, grocery store (Wholefoods and Foodtown), fancy food shop (Dépanneur), vet, and pediatrician. Drop your iphone and the Apple Store is a mini block away. Expand to 2 blocks and choices exponentially increase (Maison Premiere, Bedford Cheese Shop, Joe's Pizza, Fette Sau, Brooklyn waterfront with Brooklyn Flea Market, Smorgasburg, ferry to Manhattan, parks, etc.........).
The furthest reaches of Williamsburg (Diner/Marlowe to the south, Wythe Hotel to the North) are both a short, equadistant 8 block walk. 4 blocks to bedford L subway--just one stop to Manhattan's east village, and three stops to Union Square. 20 min door-to-door to MOMA, Wall Street, Lincoln Center, and most other Manhattan attractions.
This is our primary residence and we are renting it to afford vacations of our own. We are looking for considerate guests who will treat the apartment like it belonged to their best friends (you know, the ones that charge you $300/n to stay at their place). You are free to use our stuff. But please no large parties, smoking, turning over the sofa cushion when you spill wine, liquor cabinet land grab, etc.. We're nice, laid back people, and you should be too. Dogs and babies welcome. We charge a$100/week fee per dog up to two small dogs.
No smoking. Dogs ok, but no cats.
