Our lovely 8 acre vineyard and charming two bedroom furnished guest cottage are a treasure! Its a dream destination ideal for couples visiting Yakima on a weekend-get-away or a vacation.

We like to personally welcome guests to the property. Jenny, gathers freshly laid eggs from her favorite hens. She also visits the wine cellar to share her vineyard's latest blend. Please call Jenny, a day or two before your arrival, to set an estimated time. Then, on the day of arrival, call her at least fifteen minutes in advance of your arrival. We will meet you at the cottage to show you around.

Other things to note
The cottage is a favorite place to stay for short and long term bookings. Short-term as defined as under 28 days. Long-term as defined as over 28 days.

A different set of terms are put into place for long-term bookings. An additional document will be provided which summarizes those terms.

The following terms apply to ALL length of stays:
PET POLICY: Only dog are permitted. Written permission must be granted prior to stay. 2. $35/day fee for dogs, unless agreed otherwise. 3. Only animals under 18 pounds acceptable, no exceptions. 4. Dog can only reside in the “historic” section of the cottage. Dogs are not allowed, for any reason, in the new master suite. 5. Dogs must stay off of all furniture, including beds. 6. Dogs must be crated or locked in small bedroom at night (not allowed to roam) 7. Animals must not be left alone in cottage. 8. Cottage must be spotless-- free of pet hair upon exiting. 9. All dog poop must be cleaned off of the lawn and disposed of in the trash.
HOUSEKEEPING: There is NO daily housekeeping. In order to insure that the costs of cleaning are kept to a minimum, we ask that you attend to the following items before your departure. Failure to do so may result in money deducted from your damage deposit. Thank you so much for your cooperation!
BEDDING & TOWELS: Please strip beds and put all soiled linens (sheets/pillowcases and towels) in the white clothes hampers. (found inside built in wall closets) For stays over two months, guests are required to bring their own bedding/towels.
LAUNDRY: Please attend to any stains on bedspreads, mattress covers, upholstery or rugs when they occur. If you have no success in removing them, please call the OWNER at (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN), as soon as possible so that these items will not be permanently damaged.
MASTER SHOWER: Help us keep this shower sparkling new by using the squeegee to swipe down the glass after each use. Swipe it, similar to how you would a car’s windshield.
DISHES: Throughly wash dishes in sink and load into dish washer.
COUNTER-TOPS: wipe down all counter-tops and kitchen table.
KITCHEN TABLE: wipe down table tops making sure to collect crumbs into your hands.
FLOOR: sweep & mop kitchen floor (broom/mop can be found near ADT security alarm panel, mopping supplies are under the kitchen sink)
INSIDE OVENS: please clean up all spills.
REFRIGERATOR: Please clean spills or messes inside refrigerator and freezer
TRASH & RECYCLING: Take out all trash (anywhere) to provided receptacles on side of yellow garage.
COMPOST: Dump compost into trash bag, dispose in binds on side of yellow garage.
GAS GRILL: Clean grill if used. Utensils to do so are provided near grill.
RETURN: All furniture, games, remotes etc. to original locations.
RUGS: Use portable “sweeper” to pick up crumbs on rugs. (located near alarm panel)
KEYS: Simple leave all keys on the island in the middle of the kitchen. Make sure to activate the locking device on the door handle when leaving!
THERMOSTAT: If you adjusted the thermostat beyond its original setting, please return it back to 62 degrees in winter and 78 degrees for cooling in summer.

Neighborhood highlights

The cottage is a treasure beyond its time! For decades it was outside of the city limits of Yakima. Just a few years back, the city extended its limits. Now, it is considered inside the city. Hence, it is a treasure-trove of a hide-away! So peaceful and quiet, and yet conveniently located just a mile from two Starbucks! And just 3-12 minutes from most of Yakima's major hotspots!

I spend too much time: Caring for the animals.
Our cottage is a mother- daughter effort! It has been a wonderful creative project for both of us to share. My daughter handles the left-brain aspects of the cottage, while I get to have all the fun! It has been very rewarding to collaborate this way since we accelerate each others progress. It always surprises people to hear that I am the farmer in the family. I take care of the twenty acres that surrounds this property.
