The space
One of the great lessons of this island is how to live beautifully in simplicity. We have designed your one-of-a kind Flora Natural Villa to encourage dreaming and lounging and swimming and sharing of meals with family and friends. The wood is antique, but the sensibility is modern. The rice paddies are in your living room. Your living room is in the rice paddies.
Walk 6 minutes or ride a rented motorbike along a tropical river path (and then up 30 steps) to one of three architect-designed l Natural Villas. Passiflora is set in a rice paddy, which we have kept intact, as part of our commitment to this agricultural tradition. Across the rice paddy is our other natural villa, Jazmin, Our neighborhood has no cars noise, but many sounds of geckos, roosters, frogs and collared kingfisher birds, while still walking distance from Ubud (20 minutes).
Passiflora is a reclaimed antique joglo (traditional Javanese teak pavilion) brought over timber by timber from Java. Each of our natural villas has its own personality. We carefully design every detail to make sure that staying in these transformed traditional structures is a one of a kind experience in luxurious eco-friendly living.
As you walk into Passiflora, you'll be taken by the spacious loft-like feeling (1000 sq. ft. /90 meters square) with the added visual pleasure of antique teak timber beams and carved wood panels. The thatch roof has been woven by hand grass known as "alang-alang" here. Enjoy Passiflora's hand laid white stone pool with open rice paddy view.
Take a dip, read on the daybed on the verandah, have a conversation in the living room then have a nap in the bedroom on the king-sized super comfortable bed cooled with AC. The kitchen is perfect for cooking: polished concrete countertops and reclaimed wood cabinet doors. At night, the bedroom locks up for privacy and safety, but the living room stays open for maximum connection with nature. You can practice yoga comfortably in so many spots and later bathe under the stars in the pool or in the sunken tub. Made, Made and Kadek will pamper you with healthy breakfasts of your choice of eggs, pancakes or black rice pudding, Honeymoon bakery bread, Bali Coffee and our homemade yogurt and jam. No breakfast would be complete without a plate of tropical fruit. I'll leave you my list of my favorite secret spots and restaurants.
Couples love our natural villas, however Passiflora is also fabulous for a single person. Passiflora is a truly unique experience for FIT folks who want to be in touch with the Bali of rice farmers in the most natural but still luxurious way! Enjoy!

Penestanan has become hip... and now has 2 yoga shallas , approximately 10+ charming healthy restaurants and cafes (Indonesian, Japanese, Indian, Raw/Organic, Vegetarian, Vegan) so you don't even have to get on your motorbike.
We can organize a scooter for you for $5 per day or you can take a Grab car or motorbike to Ubud $1.50 per ride.. or about $3.00 by car. Or you can walk. Walking is fabulous...15-. 20 minutes.. to all things Ubud . You can also hire a car with a driver. Our recommended drivers will be delighted to pick you up at the airport. We recommend this option because they know where we live and are willing to carry bags. Other drivers won't. The cost is IDR 400.000and can be paid to them directly. Grab is also available now. Our homemade laminated map is a great help for navigating your local adventures.
Other things to note
There are many steps in Penestanan and they can be slippery in rainy season. Our unique delightful neighborhood is for FIT folks who don't mind walking.
