We are the destination for your soulcation. Located right off of the Akosombo Rd, the River Camp@Mangoase is a perfect blend of luxury and a nature lover's paradise. Enjoy our fully fitted tents with claw foot tubs, crystal chandeliers, separate sleeping and lounging spaces, and a zen inspired outdoor shower that will ensure you leave our campsite rejuvenated, invigorated and whole. A fantastic onsite chef will tickle your taste buds with delicious options from our kitchen garden.
The space
We are a global guest favorite precisely because we have created an intimate, private sanctuary for our guests that eschews a commercial or cookie cutter vibe.
Our 2 luxe tents have oversize queen size beds that sleep 2 adults comfortably in each tent. Additionally, each tent has a lounge area with a sleeper sofa that can accommodate one adult maximum or two children. We can accommodate 3 adults per tent maximum or a family of 4 meaning 2 adults and 2 children.
Price includes FREE FULL breakfast.
The River Camp at Mangoase is an unforgettable experience and a treat for avian enthusiasts. Named after the centuries-old mango grove ('Mangoase' means under the mango tree) that sits on the property; oral history of the Akwamu people says that our site was a rest stop for weary travelers crisscrossing the Volta and Eastern regions. Consequently, we have committed to honoring the history of this beautiful place and literally following in the footsteps of the ancients who came before us. When you come to our River Camp, prepare to rest and become one with the natural world that will surround you and replenish you. Our facilities and amenities are designed for a complete digital detox. Last but not least, through a trusted third-party provider, we now offer holistic wellness therapies including massages. Guest access
Access to our camp site is very easy. We are a 2 minute drive off the main Asuogyaman-Atimpoku Rd (very visible turn off that we share with Afrikiko Resort in Akosombo) and our driveway is a well maintained gravel road. Plenty of parking space is available on the property.
Other things to note
Due to the rustic nature of our campsite and a very intentional light footprint on Mother Nature, our campsite is not suitable for infants, small children or persons with mobility challenges.
