Unlike any property in the Southern Appalachians and just off the Blue Ridge Parkway, the Summit combines the ruggedness of the Appalachian high peaks with the luxury of a resort. At 3,550’ the property sits atop the main spine of the Blue Ridge with unrivaled 360 views of the surrounding wilderness. We seriously doubt you’ll want to leave. But if you do get sick of the vistas, sunsets and sunrises…two wineries, a zipline and the trails of Rocky Knob Recreation Area are just a mile away.

The space
The house and adjoining property have a rich and unique history. Originally used for cattle the property was divided by the building of the Blue Ridge Parkway in the 30s. Built in the late 60s, the home has served as a bed and breakfast, private residence and the center of both horse and Christmas tree farms. After remaining vacant for a number of years our family fell in love with the place in 2019 and have since poured our heart and soul (and considerable sweat and tears!) into it. After enjoying and sharing it with our family and friends, we now want to share it with the rest of the world.

Coming up the driveway it is clear that something special awaits. If you’re familiar with the balds of the Black Balsams, the Roan Mountains or the Appalachian Trail's Max Patch, you’ll feel right at home on the open football field at the top. The spectacular views start immediately and only get better when you walk through the front door. We guarantee one of the more serene and beautiful stays you’ll have.
