Located in beautiful crown heights, the center of all trains and buses, restaurants and coffee shops. We are also close to the brooklyn children museum and the Jewish Holocast museum. Not far away is the downtown metro tech center and not to forget the newly built basketball multi million dollar stadium.
We enjoyed our stay.
Wonderful place and people, I shall return!!!!!
D'excellents moments passés avec Ana et son mari.
Very nice place I want to recommend. Everything was ok !
The room and my stay were fine. Room was clean and quiet. Bed was firm. Ana and William were considerate and helpful. Everything worked out very well.
The host and his wife recieved us with much kindness and were very helpfull when we had questions. The room was okay, the stairs rather dark. We could use the kitchen. The bathroom was okay
I am afraid I cannot give a good review to this one.
The room is not as shown on the picture - there is a large sofa and a glass table with chairs near the window. This adds comfort but makes the available space in the room a lot smaller than appears on the picture. The inside of the house is very dark. Communication before I arrived at JFK airport did not happen. Above all (what I have said above would not matter to me so much) the neigbourhood is NOT a safe area of NYC, especially for a white female travelling alone. I was verbally abused and called racist names while walking down the main street (which you have to do if you intend to use public transport). As a result I had to move location after 2 nights. I was never re-imbursed any of the money I have spent.
I didn't ask for a refund, because my primary concern was to move to a safe location as quickly as possible.
I really want to say how much I enjoyed staying with Ana and William for the week. They are very nice, thoughtful, and did everything they could to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The house is less than 10 minutes from the subway. Super cute and quiet in a brownstone neighborhood. GREAT food is just a block or two away.
My friend and I were sometimes leaving early or coming in late, but it was never a problem. The stairs are a little creaky, but it is a very old house. The kitchen has most of the stuff you would need (though we ate out all the time)... and a big fridge! Right next to the room. William even gave us a bottle of wine when we got there (So Nice!)
If you need a nice place to stay and the price to be right, this was certainly it! So lovely and kind, I would love to come back!
The room and neighborhood is very nice. I gave a 3 star mainly because we had such trouble getting in touch with the renters. They asked us to call them to set up a meeting time but never responded to our voicemails. We actually arrived in NYC with no idea if we would have a space to stay or not. I was pretty stressed about that. We took the subway out to the brownstone but they were still not there. We were actually let in my another tenant. That tenant even lent us a copy of their key so we could go get dinner. It was nice for us but also a little disconcerning- they didn't have any idea who we were but they let us in. Eventually that evening we met the owners (I never actually met Ana but her husband) who were very nice and apologetic and got us a key.
The room is nice and comfortable. And you just can't beat the neighborhood for walking around, people watching, food and location. We just had a bad taste in our mouth due to the stress at the beginning of our journey. We probably will not stay there again due to this.
Thank you for sharing your home with us, Ana! We had a great time. Ana and her family are really nice and the room was clean and quiet. A perfect place to stay in Brooklyn. We would recommend!
The room is a really nice, clean and quiet place to stay. It was great to stay in Brooklyn to be able to see another part of the city which is not so touristic. I could only recommend Ana's Place, we had a good time there!
