Our cottage is located in an agricultural zone and is surrounded by local farms. This means that at nights, it might feel stranded or empty for people used to urban city life. But rest assured, it is a very peaceful and calm environment.
There are no shops within the immediate vicinity of the house, however it is possible to walk to the center in 10 minutes, or it can be reached in 2 minutes with a car.
Public transit around our house is limited. Therefore we suggest our guests to arrive with a car, either own or rental.
Alternatively, a taxi ride from the cottage to the city center would cost approximately 10 Turkish Lira.
Other Things to Note

Our stay at Emre's place in the middle of the vineyards was a wonderful and unique experience for us. His parents were quite helpful in orientation. They explained everything in detail and left some food and home-made wine for us. The house is equipped with everything that might be needed. We really felt tranquil, heard no noise around and enjoyed being disconnected to the world. Well, we opened the radio to hear some music; otherwise it was a virtually refreshing and silent stay. It is a real country house with its comforts - the bugs and lizards in the yard were not disturbing at all. We watched the stars during the utter darkness of the night. We went for swimming to the beaches closeby during the day. The centre of Urla was 5 min away by car (when we needed to do some shopping). Around the house, there are several wine cellars and producers within a 10-km radius. We are very thankful and would love to pay another visit to the same place.
As in the pics, the place is awesome. I can say you will find the peace and quiet there. And then some. But beware of the wild life. There are no shortages of bugs, and the owners care more about the bugs than guests. They do not allow bug repellents. Only mosquito spray is available.
The tap water smells because it comes directly from a well. There is no air conditioning because it is not needed, the stone cottage is cool during the day but like hell during the night.
The owners seem like nice and attentive people. But they just might ask you to water their garden or to change the water filters or even sweep the front of the house regularly, in a very casual way. Like you are there to do the maintenance work.
Oh by the way, even though not mentioned in here, you'll have to unlock and lock an old iron gate every time you leave the property. So who ever picks the short stick, i guess.
Overall, it was an interesting (website hidden). The place is really small and cluttered. Don't be fooled by the pics on here.
The world needs more genuine caring people like Emre and his parents Yurdanur and Necdet! Their individualized hospitality made our stay in Urla one to remember on personal and historical levels!
Perfect place for solitude seekers... Emre's parents welcomed me despite the late arrival. Grateful for their tips!! I definitely would like to stay there again...
It is a very nice small house in the wineyard with almost no neighbours around. Ideal if you want to stay in a quiet place. But you will need a car to travel to the shop, the beach and local sites.
The host is very welcoming and we received explanations of where to find shops and local restaurants recommendations.
It was a great stay at this carefully thought and built house in the middle of nature. Although we wanted to do lots of things around Urla, we could not get ourselves out of the house because it was so peaceful.
Emre's mom and dad greeted us during check-in, explained intricacies of the house and left us with a near full fridge.
Me and my wife enjoyed a short stay on Emre's place. It was a great vacation and would definitely come stay here again.

About the Host, Emre
I am a young architect currently studying in Denmark who has been living around Europe for the past 6 years. First in Italy, then in the Netherlands and finally, Denmark. I currently find myself in a lovely country, and a lovely city; Aarhus. Right now I am doing a Master Degree in architecture, and hoping to graduate in a few years.
Apart from my studies, I spent most of my free time doing sports. I have been actively training Crossfit since 3 years, and hoping to become more competitive in the upcoming years. I love being outdoors, enjoying any type of weather, and travelling to new places, whether it be cities or the nature.
