Our charming cottage is the best location for getaways! The 40sqm cottage has all you need during your stay and is located in an idyllic landscape surrounded with olive trees and vineyards, away from the buzz of city life.

The space

We have a small, serene and cozy country house in Urla, Izmir waiting you for a secluded getaway. The house is built in a vernacular architecture that reflects the typical Urla style and is situated in a big garden with olive trees and grapevines. Perfect for a romantic runaway, a weekend trip, or a celebration!

Apart from sleeping at our house, we also want to you to make the most out of your stay. Together with you, we will be glad to tailor you a trip itinerary starting from your arrival to your departure, including restaurants, activities and daily trips. After the confirmation of your stay, you will also receive an online map with the necessary directions to reach the house and a map of things to do in Urla.

The experience we offer you is a seclusive one: our cottage is located off the main road, surrounded in pure nature. There is no telephone or internet connection, but only a functioning radio that has the best stations: it is the best place to be off grid!

On the ground floor, there is a living room with couches and a fireplace. There is also a full functioning kitchen and a bathroom. On the first floor you can find the bedroom with a double bed. Up to 4 people can stay at our house.

We highly encourage local farming activities. We produce our own olive oil, wine, fruits and vegetables at our garden. As our guest, you will get the chance to taste our 100% natural products. A bottle of wine made from our own grapes will be our present for you during your stay, as well as our own olive oil.

An important note to remember: we strongly encourage you to make a booking at least 1 week earlier than your arrival date. Last minute bookings will make things much difficult for us, and could end up being an inconvenience for you as well. So please, let us know in advance. For further information and availability please send us a message.

We look forward to hosting you at our cottage.

Guest access

To get a well rounded impression of our cottage, we kindly ask you to read through all the details of our listing carefully. Our descriptions are regularly updated and always reflect the current conditions of the cottage and will greatly help us improve your travelling experience.

As a guest, you will have full access to the house during your stay. Clean bed linens and towels will be provided for you. The house has a shower with 24/7 hot water. The kitchen has all the basic utensils available and our guests are more than welcome to use all pans/plates etc.

Interaction with guests

Upon your arrival, we will be present at the house to greet you and welcome you to the house. We will go over the basic rules of the house, and leave you the keys. If we can't be there for your check-out, feel free to drop the keys in the mailbox situated next to the iron garden door.

Other things to note

Please keep in mind that the house is a country cottage, situated in the middle of nature. There will inevitably be a chance of coming across small insects outside or possibly inside the house. There are however no poisonous insects or wild animals in the yard. If needed, bug pesticides can be used inside the house.

Since the fence around the house allows small animals to roam around freely, we sometimes might have a neighbourhood cat or dog visit the house. Feel free to feed them if you wish - however please do it further out from the house, so that they won't get comfortable enough to enter the house.

Concerning the tap water usage: we have our own well inside garden which gives us clean spring water. This means that it isn't perfectly regulated at all times. If you notice an orange color in the flow, let the taps run for about 5 minutes, and the water will be back to normal. We advise you to buy bottled water for drinking.

It's such a lovely place! We really enjoyed staying there. The property is simply beautiful and we had more grapes than we were able to eat :) Also Emres parents were so welcoming and friendly. They gave us the key and showed us around. All in all a place to calm down and relax. The only thing we missed was wifi but that might be because we didn't stay there for holiday and we had lots of stuff to organise so maybe the hosts see it as a place you shouldn't take too much care of messages and beeing connected to the world ;) So thanks for sharing that place!

Emre's old stone house in Urla is peaceful, quaint and very tastefully decorated. It was a pleasure to wander around the grapevines and fig trees (sampling some fruit along the way)—especially in the early morning light and at sunset. I appreciated the break from the internet and thoroughly enjoyed listening to the old radio, which only picked up a single station that played traditional Turkish music while playing backgammon in the evenings. While Urla itself wasn't the picturesque village I may have hoped for, it was certainly convenient. Emre's nicely designed pdf helped point us to the best restaurants, bakeries and sights in the area. The house served as an excellent base to explore the greater Izmir area—Ephesus and other sites in the town of Selçuk are only a little over an hour's drive away. I quite liked the city of Izmir as well. I highly recommend this house charming home. I should also mention that Emre and his parents were wonderful hosts!

Beautiful house and location. Emre's parents were super friendly while welcoming us and even helped us to rent bikes. This house is the perfect destination if you want to have a nice and quiet get away.

A really lovely country cottage in a beautiful setting. It's a little out of town and so gives you the perfect quiet and secluded Urla experience, whilst being only a 10 minute drive to the beach. We loved our stay here and cannot recommend it enough.

I really have to tell that we are incredibly satisfied with our stay. This small cotton is extraordinary stunning, everything is so beautiful! We got a great introduction up front and we were supplied with everything necessary to make it a cozy stay even during winter period. I wished I could have left a personal note after checkout, but unfortunately we started quite in a hurry this morning. All in all this place is exactly like in the description, due to its abandoned location for us it was beneficial to bring our own car. Stay safe and all the best! Jonas

Our stay at Emre's lovely cottage was great to have some silent and natural time and to have some rest. Location is within the grapeyard region of Urla/izmir which is going to be more popular nowadays. But it is also very close to town center and you can reach to the center in 5-10 minutes by bike. House was big enough to accommodate 4 people and atmosphere inside is warm. There were not a lot of insects even it is noted on the house specifications and even it is really a farming area. Within 15-20 minutes by car distance there are a lot of special restaurants and beaches. I definitely suggest this place for out of box holiday experience. We will definitely go again

I am a young architect currently living in the Danish capital, Copenhagen. After having having lived the first 18 years of my life in Turkey, I set out to travel further: I have now been living around Europe for the past 8 years. First in Italy, then in the Netherlands and finally, Denmark. I currently find myself in a lovely country, and a lovely city - Copenhagen.

Being an architect means I dedicate most of my time for my craft - something I rarely describe as 'work'. This can be office projects, trips to unique works of architecture, or time spent on improving a personal hobby - they all add up to what I wish to manifest as an architect. Apart from the sphere of architecture, sports are a great passion as I love to learn new ways of using my body and keep myself in shape. I love being outdoors, enjoying any type of weather, and travelling to new places, whether it be cities or the nature.

Airbnb allows me to truly share my passion for travelling with others. Personally, being a host is the greatest joy for me: I love being able to provide shelter for travellers from different countries and cultures, getting to meet them and to be able to make their journey worthwhile.
