We've recently bought Anthony Cottage and it's our dream family home right by the water. The lovely garden and roof terrace have the most amazing water views. We have a pool table + 4 kayaks & a paddleboard you can use.

3 lovely pubs nearby, local shop 5 min drive, Truro/Falmouth 15 mins drive. Ideally located to explore the beaches on the north and south coasts.

A hamper of local produce and essentials, logs and all linens provided.

The space
Ideal for 1 or 2 families, or a small group of friends, the cottage is the end one in a terrace of 3 traditional Cornish cottages built in 1860, located 50m from the sea, opposite the village orchard with the village green at the rear.

Superfast Wifi and great mobile reception.

From the sun trap roof terrace, you can enjoy the most wonderful views of the estuary and Point Quay. The Quay is a haven for children and adults alike. You can jump into the sea or go crabbing, it’s ideal for kayaking and paddleboarding (4 kayaks and a paddleboard can be borrowed for free during your stay), and the start of some fabulous scenic walks and cycles in our Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. About the cottage

The cottage has an upside down layout to take advantage of the wonderful estuary views. You can enter through the front door on the bedroom level, or around the side and up some stairs and over the bridge to into the open plan sunroom and kitchen.

From the front door, you enter into the porch, and then into the hall with 4 bedrooms off this.
- Bedroom 1 with new kingsize bed
- Bedroom 2 with a super kingsize bed, new mattress and en-suite WC & shower
- Bedroom 3 with 2 new twin beds
- Bedroom 4 with 2 interconnecting new single bed rooms
The family bathroom with bath, over bath shower and WC is at the end of the hall.

Up the stairs you'll find the long living room with sea views from all windows. There are 2 new super comfy sofas, a wood burning stove, 50 inch smart TV with Netflix, Superfast 70 Mb/s wifi, Sonos sound system and a pool table.

The front room leads through to the kitchen with 110cm Electric Rangemaster cooker with 2 ovens and separate grill, full size fridge freezer and dishwasher, and all the kitchen appliances you'll need. There's an upstairs WC too.

The kitchen leads through to the dining sunroom, with wood burning stove in the wall for a lovely glow over dinner, and then through to the roof terrace with seating and outdoor sofas. There are also views to the lovely terraced garden.

The garden has 2 outdoor tables and a Weber BBQ for outdoor dining.

The lovely waterside scenery of the hamlet of Point is ever changing with the tide as the estuary fills with sea water and empties twice a day. With Point Quay adjacent to the cottage, this is truly a stunning location. The Quay is ideal for swimming, crabbing, and for launching kayaks and paddle boards which can be borrowed during your stay.

A 5 min drive away and you are at Loe Beach where there is a lovely cafe and a watersports centre (hire/lessons) for adults and kids including sailing, windsurfing and some amazing paddleboard and kayak exploration.

The estuary leads onto the sailing waters of The Carrick Roads and out to Falmouth, St Mawes, and The Roseland Peninsula. Truro and Falmouth are only 15 mins drive away, and the wonderful beaches on the North Coast are only 20-30 mins away. The quiet and beautiful hidden beaches of the Roseland are easily reachable via the King Harry chain ferry which is 5 mins drive away.

There is a Spar shop 5 mins drive away that has fresh bread and local produce, a great butcher, and chef prepared ready meals if you're feeling too relaxed to cook.

There are 3 pubs nearby, the Old Quay Inn (1 mile walk), the Punchbowl and Ladle (5 min drive), and the Pandora Inn on the other side of the creek that is reachable by kayak or paddleboard in 20 mins from the Quay at high tide for a real adventure.

There are plenty of footpaths and walks (dog friendly) nearby, including to National Trust Trelissick House and Loe Beach.

We're also at the start of the Bissoe Cycle Trail from Devoran to Portreath. So if you have your own bikes you can cycle right to the North Coast mainly off road on the old mining trail. Bikes are available to hire at the Bissoe Bike Chain Cafe/Shop (5 miles away).
