Casa Leon is simply the best!

The space
The last three years have been spent refurbishing and decorating my home, so that it reflects my love for the Latin culture. It's a home filled with original art, furniture and eclectic knick-knacks from travels to Mexico, Ecuador and Colombia.

All the wood furniture I designed, and had constructed for me in Mexico. Every piece is hand made. Casa Leon has a great Latin vibe, and is a perfect place for those who enjoy and appreciate a festive, homey, comfortable, and artistically stimulating living environment.

Where you’ll be

When I bought here, the house was still a dirt lot. I had a chance to watch my neighborhood "grow up" so to speak. I'm very proud to be a resident here. It's impossible to beat the location.

All the major freeways; 91, 55, 57 and 5 are all within 7 to 20 minutes from the house. Beaches are about 30 minutes away. Mountains and deserts are about the same distance. The city library, city hall and police station are all within walking distance. The Anaheim and Fullerton Metro Link (train station) is about 15 minutes away by car. Downtown Los Angeles is about 45 minutes to 2 hours or more; depending on the day and time of day you travel. Disneyland and the Anaheim Convention Center is about 20 minutes away by car. Almost all the major attractions I listed in the Guidebook are less than 30 minutes from the house.

You are going to have a great experience here and I'm sure you will be glad that you chose to stay at Casa Leon!

Hello! I'm Luciano. After working 30 years as a special education teacher with emotionally disturbed individuals, I am now retired and living the good life. I continue to shoot photography professionally, and have had both solo and group shows of my work. I'm on (Hidden by Airbnb) and (Hidden by Airbnb) under my name; Luciano Leon Photography. I have a Burning Man kind of mentality. Life for me is all about experience. There is nothing "good" or "bad" in life, in my humble opinion, other than those things that hurt others. I live for experiences and every experience teaches us something new. And if we are open to it, they often change the trajectory of our lives. I love to travel. It's something that brings me a lot of joy. There is something almost spiritual about exploring significant, historical, cultural landmarks, hiking through a majestic wilderness of wild, untamed animals, rumbling volcanoes and exotic plants and fauna. Most of all, it's the people I've met. I've had the honor and privilege of meeting some amazing individuals in my travels; trading travel stories around a coffee table at a hostel in Medellin, Colombia with travelers from over eight different countries; spending a comfortably, balmy evening with an older couple, who I shared a half bottle of tequila with on a weekend trip to Ensenada, Mexico; riding an elephant and walking the Great Wall with a group of friends I made on a trip to Thailand and China. I love to travel! And I hope that by offering my home, at a price that's affordable for even a small family starting out, I can give other fellow travelers the opportunity to meet some like minded individuals, and create their own individual travel stories. My life motto would have to be; I would rather live as a lion for a day, than live as a sheep for a hundred years. We live once. Make it count!

During your stay

Much of the time when I rent my house, I am taking a trip at the same time. My house manager is Patricia Martinez. Should there be any issues, please call her to rectify the problem. However, in all the time I have been hosting, I've never had any serious issues. Her number will be sent to you after you book.

In the event I am in town, I will be here to greet guests and answer any questions they may have and will be the sole contact for any house issues or emergency issues. I will leave my cell phone with guests

I will go over everything in detail, what you need to know and will be happy to answer any questions you might have. I'm bilingual (English/Spanish) so I can answer your questions in either language.

I also put together a very thorough and comprehensive House Manual, that has everything listed that you might need to know; from where the key to the pool is, to the combination of the bike locks.

If you need immediate help, I have a couple of contacts you can use. However, everything will be so well explained, and the Help Manual so detailed, that it's doubtful that you will need to worry about anything other than having a great time on your vacation. ( :

Please note that when guests aren't here, I live here (unless I'm traveling of course) therefore you can expect to find food and clothes in the house. However, there is plenty of room for your edibles in the refrigerator. Everything in the pantry and the refrigerator is for guest use. All I ask is that you follow the "Pay it Forward" principal, and buy similar items that have been consumed for the next guests.

I have never had anybody complain about there not being enough room for their clothes until recently, so I'm going to address it here. There is plenty of room for all of your clothes, if you take a few seconds to hang everything up in the closet with the clothing hangers that are provided. That's how I hang all of my clothes. It gives me more room for art. Between all three rooms, there are about sixty/seventy hangers. So, between hangers and drawer space, there should be plenty of room for all of your clothing.
