About this listing
Completely separate /private one bedroom Garden suite with lots of light and heated floors in a great neighbourhood!
We have been doing this Vacation Rental for almost six years now and love meeting people from all over the world as well as traveling ourselves.
We are located on a quiet street with beautiful heritage homes all around. It is a completely separate, private, whole self contained suite / apt. There are wonderful heated floors throughout and it's surrounded by a lush garden and a rustic flower bed just outside the front window.
The living Room has a large window making it very bright with a comfy condo sofa , but it's (not a sofa bed so it does not fold out or pull out into a bed) The suite is really for 2 people tops (couple) :)
The bedroom has a Queen bed and is just off the living room through the lovely french doors which have curtains inside if you want a bit more privacy. It's cozy with the heated floors and comes with linens, a full closet, umbrellas, iron & ironing board.

My husband and I live upstairs in the house and try to provide anything you might need to make your stay enjoyable. We both have a great knowledge of the Vancouver area and can recommend lots of great things to do, restaurants, etc. We want you to have a good time here. Have friends and family over for dinner if you like but we ask you be considerate about the noise as our neighbours have small kids. We just ask you respect the suite and treat it like you would your own home.
My girlfriend and I had a great experience at Diane's listing. Upon arrival, the space was clean and as presented in the listing. There were good bus connections to the listing as well and the place was stocked with useful basics. Diane was responsive regarding anything we needed
Diane was there to welcome us when we arrived in Vancouver, and to go over the ins & outs of the place with us. It is in a perfect location, on a quiet street (we slept with the windows opened), yet within easy walking distance of virtually anything one would need (dozens of restaurants, many banks, groceries stores, etc.). It is the perfect size for two people, with a great TV system and fully equipped kitchen. There is even a dock for your iPod. It is the perfect base from which to explore the city, and there is a lot of helpful info there (brochures, etc.) available to help one in that endeavor. There is a beautiful little garden for one to enjoy on the premises, and many lovely historic houses in the neighbourhood. Thanks, Diane, for the wonderful stay!
We spent two wonderful weeks at Diane's garden suite. Diane is a wonderful hostess and she went out of her way to make us feel comfortable. The suite is clean, comfortable, in a very convenient location and the kitchen is so well equipped that a real chef would feel right at home. The neighborhood is friendly; there are great cafés nearby; laundromat and shopping are all within several blocks. Diane loves her city and has great recommendations for everyone. Stay here if you're traveling to Vancouver!!
This has been our (my girlfriend and I) best AirBnB experience thus far. Diane is very knowledgeable and helpful in her recommendations. The suite is well equipped with all the necessary amenities to make us feel like being at home. It was a great location as we were within a reasonable distance from all the attractions we wanted to visit. Thank you Diane for being such a great host! We would love to stay here again!
We had a wonderful time at Diane's. The apartment is well located and connected to the city, the kitchen is well stocked of you want to stay in and cook however commercial drive is under a 5-10 min walk away where we found plenty of restaurants/cafes to eat. The area has s great vibe and we would recommend Diane's place to anyone wanting to stay in a cosy peaceful apartment close to the city. Thank you for the brewery recommendations too we had a great time on our first night trying out the local beer!
The apartment was exactly as advertised. Clean, comfortable, in a great neighbourhood, and had a really well stocked kitchen. The location was great and using our rental car, it took us only 10-15 min to reach downtown Vancouver or Stanley Park. Best of all, Diane and Paulus were really friendly and inviting. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends who visit Vancouver and I will certainly consider staying here again myself.
This was my first ABB experience and it was great. Diane was very helpful and welcoming. The neighborhood was quiet with a real sense of community. I will definitely be staying here again.
About the Host, Diane
We are an outgoing 50ish couple who are outgoing and easy going. I have lived in the Vancouver area all my life. We drove across Canada to Newfoundland in 2005 and back through the States and there was something about every province and state that I liked, but I don't think I'd live anywhere else but Vancouver. We both love to travel and meet new people. We have been to Europe a few times but there are still a lot of places we'd like to see and have stayed at some Airbnb's ourselves. We have been doing a Vacation Rental in our beautiful heritage house for over five years now and still love it. I have owned this house over 24 years and it's the best neighbourhood in Vancouver in my opinion. The location, community, eclectic mix of people and cultures make it a fantastic worldwide destination.
