About This Listing
Located in the charming mountain community of Canmore, this 2 bedroom / 2 bathroom condo is in the perfect location for a mountain vacation and can comfortably sleep 4 - 6 people.
This single level corner unit is on the third floor of the Canmore Crossing complex and, despite almost 1300 sq ft of open plan space, it still manages to retain a cosy and comfortable feel. It has underground parking and a storage locker for skis and other toys. You’ll have full use of 2 rooftop hot tubs after a day of skiing or hiking with great views of the Bow Valley (including the 3 Sisters). There is also an indoor hot tub and a fully equipped workout room.
The unit has a master ensuite bedroom with a queen sleigh bed and a great view of Cascade Mountain. The second bedroom has an adjoining bathroom and twin beds (which can be put together to make a king size bed). Both bedrooms have ample closet space. As well as the beds we have a sofa bed that is way more comfortable than the traditional ones that are lumpy and poke springs in your back all night. If even more sleeping space is needed, the condo also has a comfortable double air mattress (with electric pump).
The fully equipped, modern and spacious kitchen is ideal for preparing meals. Quality appliances include dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer with icemaker and water filter, stove, coffee machine, toaster & blender The slate floor in the kitchen, entrance way, and both bathrooms have underfloor heating, great for warming the feet during a Canadian winter.
The living room has panoramic views of the entire North-East range of mountains in the Canmore section of the Bow Valley, including Mount Lady Macdonald and Grotto Mountain. Relax on the comfortable leather couches in front of the gas fireplace and take in the vista. One couch is a very comfortable queen sofa-bed (not the old-fashioned hide-a-bed variety) and there is also plenty of room for a double air mattress (also supplied). Cable TV (included Chromecast allows you to stream content directly from your phone or tablet), landline telephone, DVD player (with selection of DVDs) as well as high speed internet are all included.
The balcony has views of the same mountains as the living room, as well as Cascade Mountain to the North West and Mount Rundle to the West - a perfect place for a BBQ.
Upon arrival you'll be provided with supplies including coffee, tea, laundry detergent, dish soap, shampoo, conditioner, etc. If you have small children then you won't need to bring the bulky stuff with you; we run a family-friendly condo and supply a high chair, a bed rail and a playpen. We also keep a National Park Pass at the condo that will give full access to Banff National Park (and any others you may visit, e.g. Jasper National Park).
Our family loves to spend time here (it makes a great base for exploring the surrounding area) and we look forward to welcoming you for your Rocky Mountain vacation at our Canmore mountain condo. If the dates you require are not available please get in contact with us anyway so that we can add you to our waiting list in case we get any cancellations.

The place + hosts are awesome. And I don't use that term lightly. For context, I'd been to the Banff area years ago but for all intents and purposes you should consider me a newbie - didn't know the area, the mountains, the locations, etc. First, on the hosts. They were super-communicative, friendly, and despite this being my first AirBnB booking they were patient and understanding (e.g., when I hadn't verified my account, when I had questions about availability, etc). We even hit a minor snag as we were checking in (total fluke, but the elevator was out for about 30-60 mins; no fault of the hosts and a very rare occurrence in this building) but the hosts were on it within minutes. Crazy-responsive. Next, on the place. It's much bigger than I expected and very well laid out. For our trip it was two couples. The place could have easily accommodated two more. For the four of us, it worked very well since both rooms have adjoining bathrooms. The rooms are a good size and the beds are comfortable. The living room area has tons of couch space and the dining room table is well situated. We used the grill to cook up burgers, the dining table to eat + play cards, and the living room area to lounge and chill. It worked really well. The location is absolutely awesome, too. Originally we were anxious about not being closer to Banff, but wow are we glad we stayed here. The place is literally across the street from Safeway + liquor store (awesome), above a Pizza Hut, across from Canadian Tire, next door to a Sports Expert, a TD Bank, above a ScotiaBank, close to a Shoppers Drug Mart, the list goes on. One of our guests was even feeling ill and there was a medical clinic next door. Ridiculous. The one minor thing, and I stress minor, is that there's a railway nearby. The trains are infrequent, quick when they come by, and not once woke me up (despite my girlfriend having trains further away from her home + frequently waking me up). This was initially a concern but for the 4 days of our trip was not once an issue. I would absolutely stay in this place again, and wish more VRBO/Airbnb hosts and properties were like this. Terrific all around.
Tara and Steven did a great job and were quick to respond to questions we had. The condo is in a great location and we really enjoyed it. Highly recommended!!
Tara and Steve were terrific hosts. Their communication was brilliant. Loads of detailed information. They answered all of my questions promptly and politely. They were very accommodating to our needs.
The location is perfect - easy walking distance to wonderful restaurants and the supermarket is just across the street.
The condo is spacious and has terrific mountain views. The beds are comfortable and kitchen well equipped. The washing machine and dryer came in handy. It was awesome that there was a national parks pass that we could use.
If we are ever back in Canmore we would happily stay at Tara and Steves again.
Thankyou very much Tara and Steve for everything.
Only good things to say! The hosts where very communicative and super quick with answers to all my questions. The condo was as described and better than expected. The security of the condo was appreciated. The size was great for our group of four. The location was perfect. Easy access to and from the highway, simplest walk to the full grocery store and other shops.
All the comforts of home and then some. One of the most comfortable beds I've sleept in. If you are wanting to explore this amazing area of the world, the condo is a great base of operations!
We really enjoyed our stay in Steven and Tara's condo. The condo was spacious, clean and well equipped. I was impressed by all of the extras, including a stack of DVDs, and crate of books and even a pass for nearby Banff National Park. The checkin and checkout process was a breeze, and Steven even popped by to make sure we were comfortable. I would definitely recommend this condo.
Staying in Tara and Stevens condo was a better experience than I could have even predicted! Starting off with a great line of communication, Tara and Steven were prompt in their quote, email responses, and verbal communication as well. On check in day I had a last minute request and their response was immediate then too. Myself, and the group traveling with me, all loved the location; amenities; and layout of the condo. Everything was well prepared in advance, stocked for new arrival, and clean. The fold out bed is more comfortable then my home mattress too! And with Safeway across the parking lot as well as Starbucks and a liquor store...what more could you need!? Much thanks to Tara and Steven for aiding us in making our Ski Trip one for the books!
About the Host, Tara And Steven
We are a family living in Calgary who love being close to the mountains. We like to ski, hike and generally enjoy all the Rockies have to offer. Before children, we travelled a lot and enjoyed staying in places similar to the one we now offer you.
We recently bought this property after having visited Canmore numerous times. We are hoping to share our love of the mountains with our daughters and think it will be a great place for family vacations. We hope you will enjoy our home as much as we do.
We really love the location of our condo; it allows you to enjoy the town without needing to use a car. Having the shops so close means you don't have to plan ahead, and you can go out and enjoy an evening meal or night at the pub without having to find a taxi home!
