Where you’ll be

Marazion, Cornwall, United Kingdom

Largely Grade II listed, a Cornish terraced village with side roads leading down to quays for St Michael's Mount. Pub with great sea view a few doors along, traffic calming throughout Marazion and sea-side access a few hundred yards either side of the front door. Galleries, cafes, tea room, bars and restaurants all within easy walking distance. Family friendly sandy beach (Marazion) 10 minutes walk - Kayak/windsurfing/paddle boarding to hire on new pedestrian cycle path linking Marazion to Penzance.

The house is on the South West Coast Path (which is on that section of road through Marazion). The Atlantic Coaster bus (open topped double decker!) stops 100 yards away from the Cottage, allowing you to do sections of the coast path and travel home at leisure.

The RSPB marshes behind Marazion beach offer a rare opportunity through Autumn to Spring to watch the famous starling murmurations.

10 minutes drive to Penzance with it’s newly restored geothermally heated Lido and exotic botanical garden. 15 mins drive to Newlyn with fish shops/award winning restaurants as well as beautiful sculpture garden. Head there early in the morning for the local catch. 20 mins drive to St Ives.

Organic general store with lots of lovely local produce and flowers from the Scilly Isles open daily 2 miles along the Helston road just before the Perranuthnoe turn off.

with partner Helen. After a dozen years running admin in the sports industry, and Helen still working in nutrition, we have at last realised a long held dream, for me to get back to Cornwall where I have lived and worked at intervals over many years, and Helen to return to a much loved stretch of the sea coast.
