  • I really enjoyed my stay with Tracy and Forrest in Atlanta. I was there for a little over a month and it was the perfect mix of privacy and community for that amount of time. I was training at the Delta Campus so at times I needed a quiet place to study. The fact that each room had a desk was helpful. The kitchens in both house are very well equipped and those who enjoy coffee will feel right at home.

Tracy and her assistant Forest are both very welcoming and personable. I stayed at both of the houses that Tracy rents and found them to be very clean and comfortable. The Burns house (Stylish Bungalow) was smaller and I often had it to myself. The Dill house is larger with more people staying there. Many stay for long periods of time so there is a nice sense of community. On my first week in Atlanta, while staying at the Burns house, there was an ice storm so Tracy threw a small Snow Day party and invited me to the Dill house. Everyone I encountered while staying there was very pleasant. There was ample opportunity to interact or to be alone.

I certainly recommend either house for both short and long trips. There is certainly more charm and character than you will find in any hotel in the area.

  • Tracy made sure that we were well taken care of! Her place was beautiful and clean. She was very friendly and had many interesting stories to share with us. She knew when to be there and when to let us do our own thing in the kitchen. If we were to pass by the area again I know that we would have a wonderfully comfortable stay with Tracy.

  • My visit was very brief as I was in Georgia for a circle tour of the state. I just needed a place in Atlanta for my final night, close to the airport due to a very early flight. Tracy's place fit the bill. I very much enjoyed my few hours with her, including to join her and a friend for dinner. The house is charming, beautifully decorated. The dogs are sweethearts. Very friendly but at the same time quiet and reserved. They won't jump all over you but will be most appreciative of some petting. I wish I had gotten to try one of Tracy's breakfasts, but told her it would be unnecessary to provide it at 4:00 in the morning! The only issue I want to point out is the neighborhood. I felt totally safe inside the house, but would recommend to guests - especially women - that it is best to stay here if you have a car rather than using MARTA. I did have a car, so was perfecty fine.

  • I had a great experience staying at Tracy's - it was just a 5-10 minute walk to the MARTA, so it was convenient for me to get where I needed to go! Tracy was really kind and generous and I felt very welcome. The room was great, with a super comfortable bed! It was the perfect place to stay.

  • Tracy and the Pooches....excellent Hosts and just a nice experience overall. Very comfortable, quiet, and inviting. All requests were met with a smile and would consider a return visit w/o hesitation. Convenient to MARTA equals convenient to anywhere in the city!
Thanks for making the stay a good.

  • Me and my husband went to Atlanta to attend the Music Midtown festival in Piedmont Park so were looking for an inexpensive place to sleep that was close enough to Midtown and/or a MARTA station. Tracy's house was perfect for our needs. Her neighborhood is conveniently located off of I-75 and a 5 minute drive from the Lakewood/Fort McPherson MARTA station which has a parking lot. It was only about a 12 minute train ride to the Midtown station. Aside from the convenience, Tracy's house was very comfortable and she was warm and inviting. I would definitely recommend her house to my friends and stay there again myself if I had the chance.

  • Tracy kindly welcomed us into her home. The house had a wonderful charm to it and she has done a beautiful job with the decorations. The two dogs, although curious, were very well behaved and never a problem. The bed was very comfortable and had the most amazing sheets (we’re planning to get some for our bed at home). We only wish we had more time to stay, her home is at the top of our list the next time were in town!

  • It is hard to decide what I liked most about my 5-week stay at Tracy's. Was it her lovely decorated house? Her tasty home-cooked breakfast meals? Or Tracy herself, the most charming and welcoming host one could imagine? Probably it was the whole package that made this stay so special. From the moment I arrived at Tracy's house and had my first glass of red wine on her outside deck I knew I made the right decision in choosing her place. Her two dogs are lovely and the house is within walking distance from the Marta train station - which was great for me because I didn't have a car. Tracy also introduced me to her friends, took me food-shopping and even picked me up from the train station when I came home late. All in all I can highly recommend staying with Tracy and hope to welcome her at my place some day - not as a paying guest but as a friend.

  • Tracy was fabulous! She is the most amazing hostess...from her delicious five star breakfasts she makes to the atmosphere she provides with music in the background and soft lighting. Her house is like an oasis. My trip started out unusual from the beginning. She set the tone right away when I booked a day before my arrival and she responded with lightning speed. Then delays started on my end and I couldn't arrive until almost 2 days later around midnight. I was concerned and her comments back to me were always.."no worries". She has installed sinks in each of her bedrooms, which I loved because of the privacy they afforded with the shared bathroom. By my next visit...and I will be going back....Tracy has plans to add an extra bath with a shower for her guests comfort....that's Tracy. I would highly recommend staying with her if your looking for 5 star treatment without the cost. The only disclaimer I have is that this is a transitional neighborhood of Atlanta....as a woman traveling alone I would recommend using a car....Tracy's neighborhood was absolutely fine...I never felt unsafe but its not the Buckhead area...but her house is like being in Buckhead or Midtown without the huge price tag.

About
Easy going, creative type. I like cooking, entertaining, local, organic food, yoga, good wine, lots of good music, art, film, animals, nature, sailing, the ocean, traveling, calm and tranquil spaces, and I try to find beauty in all things. I like to have fun and not take life too seriously. I enjoy hosting and meeting new friends from all cultures and backgrounds and don't really follow the mainstream of American culture much at all. I am a realtor and love to buy houses and fix them up. I have quite a few places where I host guests and try to be as accommodating as possible, so you will also have a co-host, Forrest. and his handsome pooch, Odin, here to make sure your stay if a great one.
