Cozy, well-appointed and graciously designed studio apartment that mixes old and new aesthetics at the very heart of Paris, on the famous Isle St Louis that is a stone's throw from Le Marais, Quartier Latin, Notre Dame and Le Louvre.
Small, well appointed studio apartment at the very heart of Paris, on the famous Isle St Louis.
We are looking for quiet persons or couples to rent our fully equipped and furnished studio (about 30 square meters or 300 square feet) in central Paris on the famous Isle St. Louis. Please contact us for more information. Discounts available for longer stays.
The location is superb. Pick up fresh bread at the nearby boulangerie and some exquisite cheese at the local fromagerie for breakfast. Take a late night stroll along the nearby (website hidden) hop in the adjacent Marais district, the East Village of Paris.
The flat includes its own modern bathroom, a washing machine, stove, oven, toaster and coffee press. For sleeping there is only a fold-out couch but it has a real mattress that's rather comfortable. There is a desk that's excellent for working, bar stools, a fully-equipped kitchenette, television, closet space, wireless broadband internet, towels, linens, pots, pans, plates, forks, knives. All you need to bring are your clothes and toothbrush. Excellent for visiting scholars, businesspersons or tourists. Absolutely no pets or smoking allowed.
Interaction with Guests
We expect guests to operate rather independently, though we welcome questions about the flat and urge you to call us immediately if there is any kind of emergency or trouble.
You are within walking distance to the Louvre, Notre Dame, Le Marais, Les Halles, Chatelet, St. Germain, Les Tuileries, le Jardin des Plantes, St. Michel, Sorbonne, Institut du Monde Arab, the Bastille and the Latin Quarter.
The flat is close to two or three major metro lines, as well near several of Paris' Velibre stations where you can rent a bike for a small fee.
Other Things to Note
The staircase leading up to the apartment is narrow and old -- this is a very old building, so perhaps unsuitable for those with difficulty walking or climbing up stairs.
This is a small flat in a very old building that we also use when the two of us and our infant daughter come to Paris. We ask that you treat the flat as if it were your own place, and leave it reasonably tidy when you leave. No smoking or pets. Please remember to double lock the door when you step out.
I had the best stay in this amazing apartment. The location is perfect and so, so beautiful. I fell in love with Paris while staying here.
The size is perfect for 1 and there was always good heating and hot water. The church across the road is beautiful and the ice cream store on the same street is the best I have ever had- seriously. The little island has everything you could need and everyone in the area is warm and welcoming. I wish I could return and live there!
I have stayed for a week in this apartment and it was magnificent. The location is very central but the apartment is in a quiet courtyard. The lady that met me was very nice and helpful. The place feels like a home and not a rental apartment, though not large, still very cosy.
I chose Borzou's appartment because I wanted a quiet sanctuary in the middle of all the hustle and bustle of Paris, and I was not disappointed. The location on Île Saint-Louis ensured a minimum of traffic noise while still being close both to RER and metro stations and all the attractions and culture that make Paris so inviting.
Despite it's small size, the apartment makes excellent use of space and I was glad of the kitchen and washing machine during my stay.
If you're like me and value your peace, quiet and privacy when you travel, this apartment is an excellent choice.
I spent 29 days in the apartment and loved every minute of it. I was met at the apartment by Borzou's aunt who was gracious and informative. The location is perfect, three minute walk to Notre Dame, close to various metro lines and the RER.
Rue Saint Louis en L'ile has any shop you could want, from jewelry to clothes to puppets, cheese, and the best bakery located four doors from the apartment. Would I stay here again? Yes.
This was our first time using Airbnb and we were concerned about how reliable it would be. I am happy to say we had a very positive experience. Borzou was prompt and reliable with all communication, and Elaheh, who met us, was a most charming and helpful host who went out of her way to make us feel welcome and show us how everything worked. We were pleased to see that the photos of the apartment were true to the reality of the place, as were many features that were described in the reviews: yes, there is lots of hot water, the fold-out bed was comfortable, the apartment is not big, but it has all the basic necessities, the staircase is uneven to the second floor, but manageable, and it was quiet during the 17 nights we stayed there.
This is a jewel of a location. When you step out the front door you truly are in the heart of old Paris with the cobbled streets, ancient buildings, many charming artisan food shops (Bakeries, pates, cheese and ice cream shops), as well as cafes/restaurants. Also, it is close to the metro and buses and it is ideally situated to visit attractions on both the left and right banks.
It was perfect for our needs and we would not hesitate to return to this pied-a-terre.
The hosts communicated quickly and thoroughly. We felt welcomed and were met at the apartment on time to get the key and have a brief tour of the apartment. All was as described, secure, quiet, and was just what we needed for our week stay. The space is small but fine for 2 people; hot water always; easy to cook meals; good books on bookshelf; and a fan that works well! The neighborhood is lively and very central to all of Paris. All in all, it was easy to arrange, and the apartment was an excellent choice in terms of convenience and comfort.
We are both journalists based in the Middle East, and spend a lot of time traveling for work, so we understand what people need when they're away from home. Delphine is Parisian -- her aunt helps us rent out the apartment. We both love Paris and try to make it easy for people to come and visit the city.
