The bottom level boasts the movie room with 65-inch smart TV, surround sound and gaming system. Enjoy relaxing in leather recliners on riser seating while eating popcorn fresh from the theater style popcorn maker. The hot tub is on this walk out deck or make s’mores in the evenings while sitting around the firepit.
2 bedrooms, laundry and full bathroom occupy the middle level. Queen bedroom with smart TV and deck access. Bunkbed room sleeps 3 (twin over full) also has smart TV and deck access. Toys, books and board games for the family. Sneak out and relax on the outdoor deck swing.
The upper-level deck wraps around both sides of the house and across the back. This level includes the fully equipped open kitchen, dining space, living room, master bedroom with attached full bathroom. This level has vaulted ceilings and lots of light! Indoor gas fireplace (available seasonally), Roku TV, Leather sectional. Board games and books. There is French door deck access from the living area with a grill and patio dining table outside. The master suite has a king bed, full attached bathroom, deck access and a hammock. The open loft above has 2 twin beds and an AC unit.
The cabin has sheets, bath towels, kitchen towels, place mats, hot pads, dishes and cooking tools, grill tools. Starter consumable items such as toilet paper, hand soap, paper towels, trash bags, sponge, hand and dishwasher and laundry soap.
Guest access
This is a gated community and we will communicate everything you need to be able to get in easily when the time comes! This river resort has narrow and twisty roads, please drive slowly and carefully. There is plenty of parking space at our cabin.
Other things to note
Hike Ellijay and Blue Ridge mountain trails, enjoy the adorable downtown shopping and restaurants, and try some fly fishing. In the evening come back to quiet seclusion. No other cabins can be seen from the property. Explore the 3 empty lots on property and hike down to the creek on property. Sway in the hammock, cuddle up in front of the upstairs fireplace, relax with a soak in the hot tub, warm up around the firepit or hunker down in the movie room with popcorn and a large screen TV. Enjoy slow mornings watching deer from the deck while sipping coffee with the rippling sound of the creek relaxing your mind and soul. There are so many ways to relax at Gladstone Getaway! A perfect quiet retreat from the everyday!
Coosawattee River Resort offers, 5 river parks for fishing with no license needed, a petting barn, suspension bridge and the amenities listed above.
The host will provide guests with a list of their family’s favorite activities in the area.
The town of Ellijay offers: Walmart, Ingles, many restaurants, Abby's Ice Cream parlor, a new theatre and AXE throwing! Gilmer county also has many wineries.
Nearby are many hiking trails, lakes with water craft for rent, tubing and white water rafting, horseback riding, mountain bike trails and even ATV rentals.
Take a ride on the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway to McCaysville on the border of Georgia and Tennessee, be sure to take a picture at the border sign.
The Hallmark movie “Christmas in Homestead” was filmed right in nearby Dahlonega which also has a gold mine that can be toured.
Amicalola Falls, distance 27 miles from Gladstone Getaway is the tallest cascading waterfall in the southeastern United States and is the start of the Appalachian Trail.
