After a "hard days work" at the wineries, enjoy a quiet evening on 3 acres tucked away on a hill overlooking the Hill Country. We're located a short 2 miles from Main St, so you're still close to the action. Quiet, cozy, filled with interesting art, color and textures to please the eye. Perfect for a romantic getaway or a shared space for 4. Your hosts are experienced hoteliers and Airbnb Superhosts.

The space
Located in Fredericksburg near all the shopping and food action, but just far enough away to feel like you're in the quiet hill country, is Sonnenland. Perched on a hill on 3 acres, our home offers a newly renovated space filled with interesting art, colors and textures.

This 2 bedroom, 1 bath space has all new everything. Renovated in late 2021, it's a cozy space for up to 4. Comfy queen mattresses with tons of pillows, premium linens and comforters for warmth. New kitchen with full coffee bar and Keurig, offering a selection of coffees and teas. Full size refrigerator and stove to enjoy a private dinner on property. Our favorite is the large bathroom with walk in shower.

We are still staging, so check back for pictures of our new front deck. You'll relax and enjoy a sofa, two rocking chairs, a fire table and string lights while you overlook our acreage.

Guest access
You will have your own entrance to come and go. Parking is directly in front of the entrance.

Other things to note
Your space is attached to our home, but you have your own entrance and tons of privacy as we enter through the back of the home. We do have two labs, Lola and Lucy, who we keep inside and in a separate fenced area. They are well behaved, but you may see them and occasionally hear them bark. They are super friendly, but if you are afraid of dogs, this may. not be the place for you.

Your side of our home is fully renovated and beautiful, but our side of the house is still under renovation. We are replacing windows and siding. Obviously, there will be no work while you are staying with us. Just want to make you aware as you drive up.

Neighborhood highlights

We are located heading west on 87., about 1.5 miles outside Fredericksburg city limits. Our property is located at the end of a winding road that leads up a hill. We are surrounded by deer, rabbit and sheep on the property next door, which is 50+ undeveloped acres. Houses are spaced out on 3 acre tracks, so you're not isolated, but it is quiet and relaxing.

Lance and I are native Texans, but we met at a blackjack table in Las Vegas (true story!). We are real estate investors by day and frequent visitors to the dog park in the evenings with our pups, Lucy and Lola. 5 things to know about us: Lance is a wicked poker player. Our fav vacation was a no agenda, 5 day, road trip from San Francisco to Portland, along the coast. No plans, just stopped wherever we wanted. We bought and renovated a historic 1960's roadside motel in the Texas Wine Country that's been featured on Magnolia Network (come stay with us! See listings) We are HUGE dog lovers. We lived in a home built in 1900 that we lovingly renovated ourselves. We have 2 San Antonio properties, 1 in Fredericksburg and the motel in Stonewall, the heart of the Texas Wine Trail.
