The space
Black Lava Lodge is nestled at the foot of the iconic Black Lava Butte with beautiful sweeping views, surrounded by the Sand to Snow National Monument. Our home is the perfect oasis in the high desert for an instant recharge. Come soak in the 360 degree views of Mount San Jacinto, the Sawtooth mountains, and the desert colors of our own flat topped mesas.
Our quaint and cozy lodge is surrounded by beautiful boulder views and lush desert landscape while being located within 10-30 minutes from the shops and restaurants in Pioneertown, Yucca Valley, and Joshua Tree.
The outdoor spaces are designed for your whole group with an open concept layout. A spacious dining and seating area for entertaining and star-gazing. Outdoor amenities include a hot tub, outdoor shower, fire-pit, BBQ, corn hole, large hammock, and 6,000+ acres of hiking.
Upon entering the house you’ll be greeted with a bright, open concept living space. Cozy up by the fireplace and enjoy the show put on by the stars at night. The dining room features a modern dining table that comfortably seats 6 with an additional workspace at the bar top near the kitchen. Past the dining area, there is a lounge area for relaxing and reading by the windows while you soak up the sweeping views.

Our pricing is driven by the number of guests so please make sure that your reservation reflects the number of people in your party.
