This is a great get away for any season! Enjoy the renovated 2nd floor suite in Dr. Johnson's apothecary, this quaint and cozy space boasts pieces of history reminiscent of the 1800's. It is conveniently located on the south end of town, diagonal to Pendleton County Courthouse, and within walking distance to most downtown business establishments. Enjoy a private entrance, parking, and amenities that will make your stay enjoyable and very comfortable.

The space
Be sure to check out our guidebook for things to do while you’re here! The town is a short drive to many outdoor recreational attractions—North Fork hiking trail, Spruce Knob (highest point in WV) , Nelson Rocks outdoor zip lines, Seneca Rocks, Yokum’s stables ( ride to the top of Seneca Rocks) and Seneca Caverns. Golf at Fisher Mountain Golf Course. The South Branch of the Potomac River runs throughout the area and offers excellent kayaking and fishing opportunities. Please note that Verizon cell service does not work well in town.

Guest access
The 2nd floor guest suite is self contained, and has a private entrance. We do have some outdoor space with a grill and fire pit that you are welcome to enjoy. This outdoor space is shared with guests staying in the downstairs unit.

Other things to note
The unit is accessed via exterior steps. Verizon cell service doesn’t work well in town.
