Enjoy the cozy vibes of this private A-Frame Chalet nestled on 80 peaceful, wooded acres in Benzonia, MI. Tucked behind a secure, gated entry alongside our home, your retreat features private hiking trails, a flowing creek, and a trout pond.
Immerse yourself in Northern Michigan’s beauty and truly unwind—our property has NO Wi-Fi, offering the perfect excuse to disconnect. Remain a short drive from Crystal Mountain, Frankfort, Sleeping Bear Dunes, and Traverse City. A perfect home base!
The space
The Space
Our cozy A-frame chalet sits on 80 gated, private acres. It is perfect for couples, solo travelers, or small groups looking to unplug and celebrate milestones. Your hosts live across the drive; we are available if needed, but fully respect your privacy.
Sleeping Arrangements
Loft Area Bedroom: Queen bed with soft linens, clothing rack, and pond views.
Living Area: Twin daybed with a twin trundle (sleeps 2 additional guests).
Kitchenette & DiningAppliances: Mini fridge/freezer, 2-burner induction stove, toaster oven (fits a frozen pizza).
Bistro Station: Microwave, drip coffee maker, electric kettle.
Dining: Table with seating for 4.
Amenities & Entertainment
Living Room:
Two cozy chairs, Bluetooth speaker, TV, and DVD player with a movie collection (no local channels).
Bathroom: Full bathroom with a spacious shower and vanity storage.
Outdoor Space: Private patio plus shared access to the pond-side pavilion, trails, and creek.
Crucial Things to Know
NO Wi-Fi & Spotty Cell Service: The metal roof can block signals. Stand near windows or doors for better reception. Hotspots can be used to stream on the TV IF you have your own account Strictly No Pets: The chalet cannot accommodate any animals.
Guest access
Guests of The Chalet have their own patio & private fire pit to enjoy for the months of May- October(Unless fire danger is issued). We put the fire pit and outside furniture away for the winter months. Guests also can hike any of our many trails on the 80 acres.
*NO outside guests other than your reservation.
The Creekside fish LOVE when guests come to visit & feed them at the pond side pavillion!
*No fishing or swimming
The “Lodge” in which we live and the outbuildings on the property are private.
Other things to note
There is NO WiFi at all on the property. We do not have reliable access to it where we are situated in the rural area. Guests who come to stay with us enjoy this for a true reconnect with nature and their loved ones. Enjoy!
The Tv has a DVD player with a collection of DVDs but NO local channels. If your phone has a hotspot this tv does have smart apps you can use if you have a subscription to their services.
Along with your hosts Jamie, Sam and their daughter, they have 3 super friendly cats, and an old little yorkie dog who also live at Creekside :-)
We live, play, & work at Creekside so chances are we will see each other around!
With that being said the property is quite large and can accommodate for a true getaway if you please :-)
