'IM PFERDESTALL' is located on the ground floor of the barn of the Mühlenanwesen. It used to be a stable. (Be sure to check out my other apartment, 'Scheunen-Loft', too.) The room has low ceilings and small lattice windows. The room is suitable for people seeking a more cave-like, cozy retreat. Due to the oven and the cold floor, the apartment is not suitable for infants. In the cold season, it may be necessary to heat up with the stove. See below.
The space
The 1-room apartment and an adjoining shower room (together about 40 sqm) are on one level. A fly door or a two-part folding door separates you directly from the outdoor area. Here in the immediate vicinity, a horse, a cow or a chicken may also be moving around. The geese also live just a few meters from your doorstep.
There is a kitchen, 2 comfortable wing chairs and a bed with a 140 cm mattress. You can decide if you want to have breakfast on a stool at a kind of bar, or if you prefer to sit at a table. You can also use this as a desk.
The modern oven is very close to the bed. Mindfulness and a certain level of know-how are required here. On some cool days, even in spring or fall, it may be necessary to light the stove. In the hot summer, it is the ideal, cool place.
The small, latticed windows make this room seem more like a kind of 'cave'. It's quite possible that you'll also have to turn on the lights during the day.
