Guests highlight the mountain views, the farm animals, and how well-stocked the home is
Our spacious, dog and family-friendly farmstay home features an abundance of windows to maximize the mountain views and sits in the middle of 35 acres of pasture, bordered by creeks and forest. There are large front and back decks, an outdoor propane grill and sheltered fire pit area. Sleeps 3.

The farm and home are located just 11 miles from downtown Asheville, 12 miles from Biltmore Estate and less than 4 miles from conveniences like large supermarket, gas, drug store, banking & restaurants.

The space
At 1,440 sq ft, the home has a full kitchen (full sized refrigerator, stove with cooktop range, microwave, coffee maker, Vitamix blender and all the cooking utensils, pots, pans and dinnerware we think you could need), 1 full bath, a 1/2 bath, dining & living areas, bedroom (queen bed), TV (Roku), WiFi (100 mbps), and sunroom (futon couch/bed). It's the ideal vacation spot for 1-3 people.

NEED MORE ROOM? For groups with 4 or 5 guests, the home also has an optional, fully-equipped, add-on guest suite. This has everything the primary home offers (full kitchen, full bath, bedroom with queen bed, living and dining area), it's just a bit smaller. The guest suite has its own outside access and also connected to the primary home via the sunroom. To book the home PLUS the optional, add-on guest suite, visit airbnb(dot)com/h/ashevillefarmstay

The optional guest suite is never booked separately. Whether you reserve it or it is locked off, you will always have the entire property to yourself.

"STOP YOUR SEARCH AND STAY HERE!!!!!
...Brigit and Randy's home had windows galore letting light pour in for peaceful mornings. The photos don't do it justice-- it's enormous and stunning. The sunsets from the back porch were accented with goats and cows and calves walking up to the fence. You'll truly want to move to Asheville....11/10 will return!!"

PETS STAY FREE at OUR FARMSTAY:
We welcome a maximum of 2 dogs per booking and we provide bowls, food mats, drying towels, poop bags, dog chase toys, extra leashes and almost everything your dog could need (other than food). Just 20-30 yards off the back deck is a very large, FENCED-IN DOG PLAY AREA with a super-large dog house. So your dog can be safely outside within your view. Both the front and back deck have latching gates.

(*We applaud 'pet people' who travel with cats! However, because of allergy concerns for future guests, we don't allow kitties at our B&B home.)

When guests don't plan to use the fenced-in dog yard, the area is used to house a small flock of chickens and 3 of the most adorable TINY GOATS you'll ever meet. And cattle are often grazing just a short distance away from the home. (Electric fencing is used to contain the cattle but is clearly marked.)

"Not enough stars for the warm welcome and customer service/hospitality. The property alone is absolutely gorgeous and worth staying at, but Brigit and Randy take it up another notch. The goats, cows, and chickens made the mountain feel even more authentic. House was very well stocked and not one thing was missing! Would definitely return."

FAMILY FRIENDLY:
We provide highchair (with strap and tray), Graco Pack n Play, outlet wall plugs, bathtub stoppers, tied-back blind pulls, out-of-reach cleaning supplies, and plenty of extra washcloths, towels and wipes. But if there is anything else a family could need (or desired modifications to the living space), we'll do everything we can to accommodate.

SHELTERED FIRE PIT:
Beneath the large, back deck is a covered fire pit area with Adirondack chairs and cushioned outdoor loveseat. You have a choice of A) a wood-burning fire pit (with grill, if desired for roasting marshmallows & hotdogs or grilling burgers & veggies) OR and instant-light propane fire pit, which is perfect for folks who who are in a hurry to relax and don't care to light a traditional, wood-burning fire.

CONVENIENT LOCATION
The home is just 1/2 mile off Hwy 63 (New Leicester Hwy) on a very flat, gravel road ('flat' - so there is no concern about steep or difficult mountain driving and 'gravel' - to let you know that the road can get a little rough after heavy rainstorms, though we do our very best to keep the road as well-maintained and smooth as possible).

Please observe 10 MPH speed limit between the highway and our home since we share the road with neighbors along the way.

We have ample parking for 3-4 cars close to the home.

"We discovered the perfect spot at Randy and Brigit’s farm house. Upon arrival, we found an immaculate, well-appointed and stocked space with tons of windows, looking out to an incredibly stunning view of foot hills and mountains, cattle and horses. Even more so than the pics on the posting. It’s like a painting! We enjoyed meals on the deck, while watching the sun set and letting our dog, Milo, visit with the chickens and rooster in the large, fenced-in dog run....Overall, an A+++."

Neighborhood highlights

Walt Haven Drive (the 1/2 mile gravel & dirt-packed country road leading from Highway 63 to our farm) is very flat. So there's no concern about steep or difficult mountain driving. But, since it is used by about 40 homes in our neighborhood, the road to our home can get a little rough during rainy weather. Please don't be alarmed. Once you reach our farm, we believe you'll agree that the views and accommodations are worth the 1/2 mile drive from the highway.
