Beautiful area

This home is in a scenic location.
This memorable place is anything but ordinary. If you're dreaming of a luxurious tent experience you've found it! A queen foam mattress with cotton sheets, mini fridge, coffee, and microwave, small charcoal grill, & dishes, hammock and fire ring, outdoor seating are included. Campground bathrooms are about 80 yards away with hot showers, parking a little further on. Sun shade & AC help with heat, but still may be warm during hot days. Night may be cool even with use of space heater.

The space
This unique tent features many comforts of home in a rural farm setting. 2 extremely friendly cats, Boots & Nemo, 🐈 🐈 will probably make an appearance. No matter what they say they’re not allowed in the tent!😆
AC unit and space heater to keep comfy, although when the sun is extra hot the ac may not keep up, it will keep it cool for sleeping.

Guest access
Guests share campground bathrooms and barn pavilion. Stalls for horses are available upon request, $10/night. Firewood is free and stored in barn pavilion, fire starting kits are available for $10

Other things to note
Our horses, goats, and bunny certainly enjoy extra attention from our guests and if they interest you, I'm happy to provide treats to feed them, however please do check with us before giving them anything extra. Thank you! 🐐 🐎 🐇

The farm animals do make noise as well as geese and song birds. At times we can hear noise from the Blue Holler ATV as well, so there is a noise machine provided.

Neighborhood highlights

Being across the street from a national park trailhead is pretty special. The view you will have from the tent is another great feature I love. Definitely a relaxing pastoral scene!

Note*** We are neighbors with an ATV park & can hear them at times.

Local favorites:

The obvious thing to do is visit Mammoth Cave National Park! Lots of hiking in park as close as 800 feet from the campground. Horses are welcome here, we provide stalls and the park trail across the road is horse friendly. Of course you need to visit the Park’s cave. There are several tours to choose from, & you may want to choose a couple. We recommend getting tickets in advance as they do sell out. (Visitor center 25 minutes via Green River Ferry route, 35 minutes going around) currently green river water level is too low for ferry to operate. Calling ferry is recommended.

Nearby there is Hickory Cabins, it’s more fast food type, but only couple minutes away. There’s another fast food type in Lincoln corner gas station a few minutes away. A restaurant in Beespring that reopened recently has good ratings. Opening for the season April 1, The Blue Holler Restaurant serves up German and American fare.

10-15 minutes away is an Amish town called Cub Run. They have a couple shops, the variety shoppe & Detweilers, which has a bakery and makes sandwiches and is pretty large.

Cave city (across the ferry 25 min) has tourist friendly activities including various caves that have been providing tours since the early 1900s. Kayaking tours available down Green River.

I recently went to a cave tour in Horse Cave called hidden river cave (40 min) which was kinda neat. They have antique shops right next to it in the little downtown.

The Feedmill in Leitchfield (35 min) has good breakfast & lunch & there’s a Mexican restaurant, mi Camino Real, that’s good in that area too. There’s also a Peddler’s Mall in Leitchfield if that interests you.

In Bowling Green (50-55 min) there’s the corvette museum & lost river cave tour if you’re looking for more to do.

Glendale (50 min) has some charming antiquing as well as local cuisine restaurant, the Whistle Stop.
