Get cozy and settle into this adorable custom semi off-grid micro cabin; a mini paradise in the woods. With windows on all sides, the space is bright and nature is all around you. Our custom couch converts to a double bed with lots of storage in the pull-out drawers. The live-edge maple countertop is a highlight as is the cubic mini wood stove. With power for lights, the simple water system operates with a foot pump. Berkey water filter for drinking water. Pee toilet onsite.

The space
This is a gorgeous semi off-grid micro cabin designed with guests like you in mind. It’s perfect for one or two people, but it can accommodate 2 adults and 1 child. Only one pet at a time please!

It’s designed as an indoor/outdoor space with a large covered deck and a bar counter outside the large opening kitchen window so that the kitchen and outdoor barbecue can be shared indoors and outdoors. Solar lighting provides a warm ambiance in the evening.

The loft ladder hooks onto the bookcase, leading you to the charming loft bed. The double bed, window for evening airflow, and sloped ceiling make this cozy loft truly magical. We’ve set up a mirror at the foot of the bed, so that you can enjoy looking out the window while sitting in bed.

With its own rain collection system, the unfiltered water can be used for washing and the famous Berkey Water Filter provides water for drinking and cooking.

The cabin is simple but provides for all your needs. There is a pee toilet for those overnight visits while the full composting toilet and shower are just steps away in a separate structure. The kitchen is equipped with an inset 2-burner propane cooktop, pots and pans, kettle, coffee pot, and cooking utensils. The outdoor barbecue station provides you with additional cooking options.

There is a fold-down table inside, overlooking the woods where you can sit to enjoy a beverage or catch up on emails.

There are a variety of lighting options for your every mood. The loft has a removable rechargeable light which is great as a reading light.

There is ample storage for a single person for a long term stay or for a couple for intermediate or short stays. There is a closet on your right as you enter with pull out shelves for your clothes as well as 3 large drawers under the couch for food or clothing storage.

Guest access
This listing offers a fully private indoor space along with a secluded outdoor area designed for relaxation and connection with nature.

Set on 10 peaceful acres, the property invites you to unwind among the forest, a serene pond, a seasonal waterfall, a blooming orchard, and a loop walking trail. Multiple outdoor gathering spaces create opportunities to slow down, read, or simply take in the quiet surroundings.

Several fire pits are available throughout the property for cozy evenings under the stars, subject to local fire regulations and permitted season during your stay.

Neighborhood highlights

We live on a 10-acre lot at the top of a mountain. The other lots around us are also 10-acres and some have multiple homes on them. We are walking distance to trails and off-roading areas. There are hiking trails with waterfalls where our street meets the highway and the exit to the spectacular Smuggler Cove, Provincial Park is just minutes away. By car, we are just over 6 minutes away from a convenience store that sells alcohol and where you can park for the closest beach access.

We are 20 minutes from Sechelt and less than 15 minutes from Madeira Park, so a good central location for visiting the Coast.
