The space
Welcome to the Hideaway, a place with a rich history and many names. Over the years, it has served as a workshop, shack, darkroom, photography studio, and drum assembly room. Inside, you'll find a picture of Buck Outlaw, my father and an exceptional craftsman. He believed in the saying, "If you're gonna be dumb, you got to be tough." Unfortunately, he passed away while woodworking, pursuing his passion.

Buck played a significant role in helping Michael establish Outlaw Drums, a renowned brand that supplies companies like Guitar Center and Musicianfriend. While they primarily focus on custom work now, the drum assembly room became obsolete as their business expanded. This led Michael and his mom to transform the room into an Airbnb. We believe Buck Outlaw would be delighted to know that you are staying with us.

During your stay, don't forget to carve your name into the cedar tree in the backyard and relish the tranquility and serenity of this special place. Also if you like to get married out here contact me for more info. We have a Wedding package too.

Guest access
You will have access to outdoor covered patio. With a grill and fire pit. Enjoy the sounds of an antique water fountain while sitting On a swing. Lots of hummingbirds stop by to say hi.

Other things to note
You may be greeted by two friendly German shepherds max and pepper who love attention. A small dog Heinz 57 his name is Lou and he loves to lick. Our dogs get along well with other dogs too. Michael stops by working on the property in the mornings. He may or may not give you a shop tour. This is a working shop so please have caution if you move Beyond the patios. The Hideaway is NOT a full kitchen best fitted for quick stays. It does have a cooler ice chest outside and grill Like the picture shows. FYI the COTTAGE would be a better choice for extended cooking and stay. It's across the property. The shower is small and heats up fast however It has a small water heater. Also, every once in a while, we have guest that Dont read the check-in instructions some times find it hard to finding. It’s just right around the corner, but consider this as a little treasure hunt to find a cabin. It will be labeled Hideaway. There is another Airbnb on the property Across from the Drum room.

Just a short distance away, you'll find a working shop where Michael, a skilled craftsman, meticulously builds his drums. We kindly ask that you exercise caution while near the shop to ensure everyone's safety please do not enter the shop with consent.

On the other side of the property, there is another area where you can relax and enjoy the surroundings. Additionally, there is a unique drum band room where Michael tests out his drums. Please note that access to the band room is at the discretion of Michael.
