The Hideout is a cozy and convenient base camp for climbers, hikers, trail runners, digital nomads, and anyone wanting to relax and explore the beauty of Central Oregon. Just 8 minutes to Smith Rock! Take in the views of the Cascade mountains and farmland beyond while relaxing on the covered porch.

The Hideout is my personal semi-rural retreat. While away, I’m happy to share it with outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy creature comforts after a day of getting after it outdoors. Longer stays welcome!

The space
Welcome to my high desert retreat! The compact yet spacious feeling interior combines clean styling with comfortable furnishings inspired by the surroundings. Strategically placed windows frame views of the Cascade mountains. The daybed window seat, which doubles as a twin bed, is a dreamy spot to read a book during stormy weather, or relax at the end of the day.

- For your recovery, a yoga mat and foam roller are provided.
- We have a small cooler for guests to keep chilled beverages and picnics for your daytime exploration.
- Wifi is provided and there good is decent cell service in the area.
- There is a blue tooth speaker, a few board games, and Roku TV.
- Feel free to use my guitar if the mood strikes :)
- Ample parking for 2 vehicles

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire property except the garage.

Please note that while we have a cedar hot tub on the property, it is not functional for guests at this time and is not part of the rental.

Smith Rock is an 8 minute drive. 15 minutes to Steelhead Falls trailhead. About 30 minutes to Bend or Sisters, 45 minutes to Bachelor, 55 minutes to Hoodoo.
