Welcome to the cabin! You'll find all of the comforts in our 2,000 sf 60's A-frame log home, located in the High Valley area. Whether you're here to unplug and relax or explore this beautiful pocket of the PNW, you've chosen the perfect place. After a day of adventure, enjoy our well equipped kitchen, relax in the hot tub or indulge with smore's around the fire. White Pass is 30 min & Mt. Rainiers Stevens Canyon entrance is 25 min . Town is a 6 min drive.

The space
~ Looking for a true Cabin experience on your mountain getaway? Well, you’ve arrived to a very special place and we’re certain you'll find comfort and relaxation during your stay . Throughout the cabin you’ll find a unique blend of decor & finishing touches, giving you all of the cozy cabin vibes.

~ Enjoy the open concept of the main floor including kitchen, dining & living spaces, while cooking, playing games, puzzling or lounging.
~The main floor suite features a King bed, a large closet and is across the hall from one of the 2 full bathrooms.
~ Please note the two bathrooms are located on the main floor (no bathroom upstairs).
~ The cabin has an original log staircase that is considered steep for some and may not be suitable for everyone. We haven’t had any issues, just like to point it out.
~ The cabin is an original 60's log cabin structure, along with that comes characteristics of an older home.

~ Upstairs features a loft, better known as the kids zone. They can game away on the Wii and XBOX, explore the toy chest, read a book or select a classic movie from our DVD collection. An added bonus that both kids and adults alike, will enjoy, is the 60 in one cocktail table arcade. The loft has a twin bed and a sofa. The other 2 bedrooms are also upstairs and off of the loft space.
~The Ombre Forest suite has a King bed, window seat, closet and dresser to unpack during your stay.
~The Antler suite features a Queen and a Twin bed, window seat, closet and dresser.

~ Outside, kick back and get toasty around the fire bowl. We supply you with all the goods for your smore enjoyment.
Off of the back deck you'll find a hot tub to relax in after a long day on the slopes or the hills. The backyard has a large deck with wrap around seating, a gas grill and outdoor dining table.

~Situated 0.6 mi from the High Valley Country Club and golf course, our guests can use the pools (May-September) for a daily guest fee as well as the 9 hole course.
~Walk to the end of the cul de sac into the Gifford Pinchot Nat'l Forest and you'll find a couple of peaceful waterfalls and endless hiking trails.

~ A Level 2 EV Charger on site for your use.

~ Enjoy our fully stocked kitchen with extras such as Instant pot, crock pot, rice cooker, griddle, Ninja and much more. We also supply a wide variety of oils, spices and condiments for your use.

~ The mudroom is the perfect place to hang your coats and dry your boots. Washer & dryer laundry soap, iron/board, boot dryer all available.

~ Puracy shampoo, conditioner and body wash are provided for our guests.

~ Power Outages: Packwood will often experience an outage during a heavy rain or wind storm. You'll find emergency flashlights in outlets around the cabin. PUD is usually quick to respond and restore our area. The outage will often not affect the main strip in Packwood, and if you need WIFI or cell coverage you may be able to do so at Mountain Goat Coffee or other local businesses.

~ We do not provide firewood for the outdoor firepit. If you choose to use our outdoor fire pit be prepared to bring wood, otherwise bundles can be purchased at a few stations in town. We will also notify our guests of any burn bans in effect. We take these very seriously in our little mountain town and ask that you follow any burn ban restrictions, if applicable, during your stay.

Guest access
~Prior to your stay you'll be given codes for the keyless entry locks located on the front + mudroom doors.
~We have a long driveway, leaving plenty of parking for our guests.
~ Guests will have access to the whole cabin except for a locked storage closet and the garage, which are for hosts use only.

Other things to note
* Max occupancy at any given time is eight (8) people. All guests must be accounted for on your reservation. Our nightly rate varies based on occupancy.

* 2 night minimum stay

* HOLIDAYS - 3 night minimum

* We DO NOT allow pets, if pets are on property during your stay, there will be a charge at owners discretion.

* MUST be 21 or older to rent

* No third party bookings, person booking must be staying

Neighborhood highlights

Located in the High Valley neighborhood, we are a 6 minute drive to town. Nearby is the High Valley Country Club with the following amenities; 9 hole golf course, 2 pools and a playground. Open Memorial Day- Labor Day, with advanced notice, guests are able to use these amenities for a daily fee. Our neighborhood is walkable and quiet with a nice blend of other rentals and full time residents.

Out our front door, take a right to the end of the cul de sac and continue on the path. You can walk for miles and adventure into the Gifford Pinchot National Forest where you'll be led to a waterfall (1/2 mile). There are also several Cowlitz River access points minutes away from the cabin.

Our careers as Interior Designer and Fire Lt. keep us busy, but also give us flexibility to use our cabin often. Hiking, hosting, friends + family, remodeling, exercise, wine tasting, gardening + coffee are a few of my favorites. We’ve put our hearts & talents into our cabin renovation, creating all of the authentic cozy cabin vibes throughout. We hope you’ll enjoy it as much as our family does!
