Peace and quiet

Guests say this home is in a quiet area.
Welcome to Quinn’s treehouse. We are located on a 500 acre working maple syrup farm at the base of Robbins Mountain. There are endless outdoor opportunities. Hiking, biking, boating, swimming and skiing are right outside the door. The treehouse abuts Camels Hump State Forest, however is close to local shops, dining and the interstate for easy travel. We also have a backcountry glamping site available. See https://www.airbnb.com/h/mapleglamping for details

The space
This is a unique treehouse experience with modern accommodations yet nestled in the woods. The space works best for couples or two people. We are located on a very steep private driveway and in the winter you will need a 4 wheel drive vehicle.
The treehouse is on an owner occupied property, but our house is completely out of sight. The treehouse has heat, air conditioning, wifi, and an incinerating toilet, which requires some unique procedures to operate, but very easy to use. We have a smart TV available for your use. There is no cable, but have basic streaming options to use with your personal account.
We have a small kitchenette with a mini fridge, hotplate, toaster oven and Keurig coffee maker. A sink and barbecue occupy the outdoor kitchen, and in the warmer weather there is an outdoor hot water shower. There is no outdoor shower in freezing temperatures and there is no indoor plumbing including shower or sink. The toilet runs on electricity and cleanly incinerates waste.
We supply plenty of drinking water. The outdoor sink and shower water is not suitable for drinking.

Guest access
The treehouse is surrounded by miles of hiking trails, multiple rivers and an abundance of mountain biking and skiing opportunities. Numerous established mountain biking trails are minutes away and there are 2 local ski resorts within 5 miles from us. There are endless opportunities to ski, bike, hike, swim, fly fish, paddle, Or… just float down the river with an inner tube to our local brewery in Richmond.
As the treehouse is located on a maple syrup farm, you may have an opportunity to witness maple syrup making in action. Sugaring season is typically March through April, but tours of the sugar house and sugarbush are year round and can be easily arranged.

Other things to note
Please note:
We have a friendly dog named Meeko that roams the property. He may come to say hello.

The treehouse sits halfway up our very steep driveway. You will need a 4 wheel drive vehicle and snow tires in the winter. Alternate parking may be arranged, but not guaranteed, if you don’t have a 4 wheel drive.

Please note, there is no indoor plumbing. The toilet runs on electricity and there
is hand sanitizer to wash hands. We have a hot water outdoor shower in the warmer weather. In the winter there is no shower.

There is an outdoor fire pit to use for your pleasure. If you choose to have a fire please use only dead and fallen wood.
Please keep fires small, safe and contained.
