Immersed in 100 acres of wilderness, The Longhouse is a secluded coastal dwelling for nine guests. Offering direct beach access, natural surrounds and multiple entertaining spaces, it is an idyllic gathering place for family and friends.

The space
The Long House is part of Crescent Moon: a nugget of environmentally-protected land surrounded by river, sea and national parks. One of four houses on the property, it is made up of four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a laundry, cathedral space living area and two outdoor entertaining spaces.

Guest access
Crescent Moon is located 10 kilometres south of Crescent Head along the coast. Turn right at the 'Crescent Moon' sign on Point Plomer Road, follow the dirt track through Melaleuca Forest until you reach a clearing. The Longhouse is the third house on your left. Please park at the bottom of the hill - driving to the door is for disability access only - and wander in. You are home.

Other things to note
Please keep in mind Crescent Moon is an ecologically-minded property and conservation is part of our philosophy. If you are not drawn to mindful consumption of every day luxuries such as water, gas and electricity, please politely refrain from booking with us. Please also keep in mind that while we have a Starlink satellite installed and the internet is not always reliable.

Venue hire for weddings, retreats and parties are available but approval by management is required. Please read the house rules carefully.

The Longhouse is part of the Crescent Moon family: 100 acres of wilderness surrounded by river, sea and national parks. We are located 10 kilometres south of Crescent Head village along the coast. To find us, drive along Point Plomer Road until you almost reach Big Hill surf break and see the 'Crescent Moon' sign on your right. Our driveway veers left from 'The Banksias' and is 1.2 kilometres long. The Longhouse is the third house on your left after you enter the clearing.

Activities include surfing, fishing, bushwalking, kayaking, canoeing, bike-riding, yoga, pilates and massage.
