The home has a full kitchen, fast Wi-Fi, A/C, private laundry and plenty of natural light, making it an ideal spot for couples, small families, or remote workers.

Security
The area of Santa Teresa is absolutely a wonderful community, and we can't wait to share all the good things that it has to offer. We care a great deal about our clients, and for that reason, we also want to make you aware of one of the very few downsides to Santa Teresa: petty theft (they usually are out for your cash and your belongings as in any other tourism area). We encourage you to avoid leaving valuables on the beach unattended and inside your vehicle. The guest is responsible for securing and protecting their personal belongings and valuables left in and around the Property and for ensuring doors are locked when leaving the property.

Internet and Electricity
In the jungle, the utility infrastructure is unpredictable. There may be power, phone, and/or internet outages and interruptions in service. There is no guarantee that the Internet will always work. If internet access is always crucial, we encourage you to bring an unlocked phone and get a Kolbi SIM card or to visit one of the local establishments that offer backup internet and electricity services. Please note that we do not have any control over these situations, and no refunds or discounts will be offered for outages or interruptions to these services. If there's any problem with the Property or these services, just reach out to us and we can clarify if it is region-wide.

Water
Due to work on public water lines, the Property may have low water pressure due to temporary or scheduled water outages. We will do our best to notify Guests of any interruptions in water service or regularly scheduled water shut-offs. The home does have a limited supply of backup water that can be utilized during outages.

Jungle creatures
We make every effort to present a well-cleaned home for your arrival. However, it is a jungle out there, and nature can move in at any time. You should expect to see ants, beetles, spiders, and other assorted insects year-round. Bugs are especially active during the rainy season, May through November. Every effort is made to present a clean home at Check-In. To minimise the impact of bugs on your vacation, please keep food wrapped or in a tightly sealed container, store it in the refrigerator, and keep kitchen counters clean.

Refunds
No refunds will be given for natural disasters, water outages, insects entering the home, internet outages, security breaches, personal property losses, or nearby construction noise. This area is a rapidly growing community. There is no guarantee there will not be construction nearby.

Insurance
We encourage all Guests to purchase Traveler Insurance in case of unforeseen circumstances, accidents, or other issues that may prohibit Guests from travelling or fulfilling Rental terms.

Mal Pais is found at the southernmost tip of the Nicoya Peninsula on the Pacific Coast.  The home is within a gated-community approximately 300 meters to the beach. From Mal Pais along the main dirt road to Santa Teresa and Playa Hermosa you will find many beaches, restaurants and shops.
