About this listing
A fully furnished house, with a beautiful view of the sea from two large terraces. About 15 minutes walk from the pedestrian center, and 2 minutes away from the bus and coach stop.
The house, with a large terrace from which you can enjoy magnificent views, is located in the typical district of Liparlati, a short walk from the center of Positano.
It is furnished in a simple yet elegant and functional style, and it is made of two bedrooms, a small, but fully equipped kitchen, a comfortable living room, a bathroom with shower, and a furnished terrace with the stunning sea views that you see in the pictures, here. Another space is the large roof terrace (where there is also a brick barbecue).
Up to 5 people can be accomodated as follows: the main bedroom has a double bed and there is a second bedroom with a bunk bed (2 sleeps) and a single bed.
The house is reached from the road by a short stretch on foot, which includes 89 steps up and 18 down.
The area where it is located, with its old houses around the beautiful church of San Giacomo, its streets and panoramic views, is very quiet and at the same time near the center, which can be reached on foot along the scenic road that goes down to the village (15 minutes to do it quietly), or more quickly through a flight of steps, or, again, using the local bus service (very frequent).
Crossing the pedestrian center with its many shops, bars and restaurants, you reach the beaches: Spiaggia Grande, and, further on, the small beach of Fornillo.
From the bus stop near the apartment you can also take the coach to Amalfi, Praiano, the Emerald Grotto, Sorrento etc.
Ideal for those who want to enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of a typical house of Positano, the beautiful sea of the bay and the many attractions of the Amalfi Coast.
Built on a hillside with amazing views and nice beaches with blue, blue water, Positano is the heart of Amalfi Coast.
A walk through the narrow streets, admiring the splendid views of the sea, wandering in search of the typical items of fashion or crafts, a dinner in a restaurant, or even on your balcony, enjoying the view of the sea and the lights of the town are just some of the reasons to choose Positano, and this house, as a starting point for a wonderful holiday on the Amalfi Coast.
(The price may vary according to the number of guest. Please check how many are in your group before going forward with the reservation.)
The whole house, including the terraces, is at your disposal, and no part of it is shared with others.
Interaction with Guests
The house that we offer is our vacation home. Although we do not live in Positano, we will be on the spot upon your arrival to meet you and welcome you personally (and if you arrive by bus, we will be waiting at the stop). During your stay you can contact us for any problem.
The ancient district of Liparlati, where the house is located, is very quiet – at the same time it is close and well connected to the center.
The bus stop near the house is also served by the coach line between Sorrento and Positano and the other towns of the Amalfi Coast, so it is easy to get around in this way.
Other Things to Note
On your arrival you will be kindly requested to fill in and sign a small written agreement, which is needed for tax reason. It will be written both in Italian and in English. If you prefer to read it in advance, just tell me, and I will send it by email.
Stefania was a lovely host, very accommodating and her house was absolutely beautiful.
Be prepared for a lot of stairs, but it's well worth it for the view.
Stefania was an amazing host! she kept in contact with me all through our journey to the house and explained the route once she picked us up from the bus stop. There was also pasta, mozzarella and breakfast pieces left for us!! The house is perfectly kitted out, it is very airy and comfortable and has amazing windows that block light and sound out. Positano is pretty noisy and so the location of the house is perfect. It really is a very steep climb especially in hot weather but the terrace is so worth the effort. It has the most incredible views and it perfect for an evening dinner. It is about 15-20 minutes to the beach and the walk goes through the beautiful town which is bustling and full of things to do. I would definitely recommend Da Adolfo for lunch and it is lovely to get a selection from the deli in town for dinner. Fornillo beach is also worth a trip. The house is a perfect holiday home and I highly recommend it!
Stefania was a super host! She patiently waited for us in front of the bus stop and guided us up to her house. The house itself is magical! It is very airy and sunny. The deck is the winning feature. A true vacation home. The house has all you need in terms of kitchen stuff, basic food/coffee/washing machine/towels, etc. Stefania even left us tomatoes, basil, mozzarella and spaghetti. A real hostess! It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the beach/downtown area, but there are plenty of buses in either direction. The town of Positano is the best of the Amalfi coast towns to vacation in, in our opinion, b/c there are plenty of nice restaurants downtown, but the house is removed far enough from the bustle so you can see it, but not have to hear it the whole time you are there. One of the best houses we have stayed in with Airbnb. Restaurants we recommend in the town are: La Guaracino and Da Adolfo (lunch only.) A warning that there are a lot of stairs to get to the place (as in all places in Positano with a worthy view.) it worked fine for us, but may be a hassle for much older folks or those who are immobile. All in all, spectacular!
We had struck bad traffic on the way to Positano from Rome airport and we were running quite late. Stefania was waiting for us when we arrived and had food available for us to cook when we arrived as well as breakfast for the next day, she was very friendly and welcoming.
Stefania and her husband were great hosts! They picked us up from the bus stop and even had a few things in the fridge for us. The place was very clean and just as described. I would stay there again in a heartbeat!
Stefania gave us the warmest welcome! We met at the bottom of the steps and walked up with our stuff. She showed us around and gave us fresh mozzarella, pasta, and fruit which we were not expecting at all it was so sweet! We were a little nervous about not being able to lock the doors but we did not have any problems with that aside from the fact that we were confused how to open the door to leave. Other than that we had such a great experience in Positano, it was beautiful and it would be great to spend a longer time there! Thank you again Stefania!
Stefania and Roberto were very warm and welcoming from our arrival. The apartment was beautiful and really exceeded our expectations, and they provided the little extras that made our stay perfect.
About the Host, Stefania
I love travel, good books and movies, rock music, good food, but my family and my job (I'm a pediatrician) are in the first place in my life. I started my collaboration with airbnb with the aim of meeting people from all over the world.
