NATURAL LIVING SPACE
Step into our spacious great room, bathed in natural light streaming from floor-to-ceiling windows that nourish both your spirit and cultivate the greenery of the built-in planters. The space features a cozy living area with a Roku TV, a dedicated workspace, and eclectic bookshelves where you can unwind with a CD or two on the Bose speakers.
KITCHENETTE & DINING
A well-equipped kitchenette awaits—featuring a single induction burner, microwave, toaster, and fridge/freezer. While it is perfect for light meals and prepping simple dishes, please note it is not intended for full-scale cooking. Enjoy your meals or morning coffee at the four-top Italian wood dining table or the sit-in bar top.

Open the windows and skylight to let in the fresh mountain air, or turn on the evaporative cooler for a refreshing breeze during warmer days.
🛏️ Bedrooms
Off the great room, two well-appointed alcove bedrooms await, each with a queen-size bed, memory foam toppers, and hotel-quality linens. Both offer direct access to the full bathroom.
🌡️ Earthship Comfort
This home embraces unique, sustainable design. While there's no central heat, you'll find a propane space heater in the main room, a wall heater in the main bedroom, and an electric space heater in the second bedroom.
🧘 Spa & Yoga Retreat
A stone path leads from your guest house to the shared spa/yoga area — a custom built-in hot tub with jets and a waterfall, framed by a beautiful rock wall with commanding views of Santa Fe city lights and the National Forest mountains. Relax on an antique Indian oxcart daybed, or enjoy yoga mats, aromatherapy, a 3/4-bath slate tile bathroom, and a stereo system. These areas are shared with the main house but we do not use them at the same time as guests.
🌅 Sunset Terrace & Rooftop Infinity Tub
Above the spa, a shared terrace with picnic table offers exceptional sunset views over the Jemez Mountains and the twinkling city lights below. The rooftop infinity hot tub is accessible from dawn to dusk.

THE RIDGE-TOP SETTING
This guest earth-home sits high above Santa Fe on a secluded ridgetop adjoining the Santa Fe National Forest. Surrounded by juniper, piñon, and native cacti, the property offers panoramic views stretching from our doorstep across the Santa Fe National Forest, the Jemez Mountains, and the distant ranges toward Albuquerque.
MOUNTAIN ROAD & TRAFFICABILITY
To reach our secluded paradise, you will travel a 1-mile unpaved road that switchbacks up a steep hillside without guardrails. While a standard car can make the climb in dry conditions, a higher-clearance vehicle provides a significantly more comfortable ride.
WINTER ARRIVAL REQUIREMENTS
Intermittent snow transforms the property into a spectacular winter wonderland. Please note that active winter weather strictly requires a 4WD/AWD vehicle, snow traction devices (chains), and winter driving experience to safely navigate the mountain ridge.
DISTANCES & PARKING
Private parking is located directly in front of the guest house (with garage parking available upon request). We are conveniently located 7.2 miles from the historic Plaza, 2.2 miles from Harry's Roadhouse, and 3.3 miles from I-25.
Other things to note
🦌 Wildlife
We have regular sightings of mule deer, gopher snakes, ravens, and the occasional black bear, bobcat, and mountain lion. We've done our best to ensure you'll have no unwanted guests — and we never use chemicals that could harm humans or wildlife.
🏡 Please Note: Guest House
This is an entire detached guest earth-home situated across the ridge from the main house, with shared spa areas between. It is not the main house.
🌿 Living with the Earthship
The thick earthen walls and indoor trees create a truly special atmosphere. The occasional friendly insect might make an appearance — it's all part of the authentic Earthship experience! If you prefer a more sterile environment, this might not be the ideal stay for you.
🛁 Indoor Spa Note
The indoor spa area is not a private sleeping area and is neither heated nor cooled.
🔥 No Smoking or Fires
Due to extreme wildfire danger, we don't allow any smoking or fires on the property.
🏳️🌈 All Are Welcome
We welcome all travelers. Love is love. All ages are welcome, but our open access hot tubs, pond, wildlife, cacti, and planters mean that the property is not particularly infant/child friendly.
