We really enjoyed our stay at the Garden Cottage Loft. It's in a beautiful setting, surrounded by green hills and trees all around. It was clean and actually more ascetically pleasing than the pictures convey. I found Laurie to be very accommodating and appreciated her willingness to work with us and our travel plans. I would recommend staying here and hope to stay here again in the future!
Wonderful private location just a couple miles out of town. The loft is perfect for a couple to enjoy a low-key stay. Bald Hill Park has numerous running and walking trails right outside your door, loved the creek in the back. Laurie made us feel right at home~providing a light snack in the morning, and very responsive in every way.
Definitely would stay again!
Our host made us feel welcome by anticipating our needs. Laurie asked what we liked for breakfast and then provided our favorite breakfast for us while we were there!
This Airbnb experience was perfect from top to bottom. Very responsive reservation confirmation, great communication and clear instructions from the host and we felt extra care was taken to make sure we would be comfortable and had breakfast. The cottage was beautifully decorated and very inviting, private and cozy. The view from the deck was fabulous and the creek that runs behind the cottage was full and and we were delighted to be able to fall asleep to the sound of the rushing creek. This was a very easy and stress-free experience and I highly recommend Laurie and Louie and their sweet little cottage! Thank you so much!
The Garden Cottage was true to its description: very cozy, clean, comfortable, private, well-equipped, and with a beautiful view of gardens and nature park. For such a quiet, idyllic country setting, it was also a quick 5 or 10 min drive to OSU, which was our destination. Laurie's instructions were clear and friendly and we felt very welcome!
We booked two nights for our daughter and son-in-law for a little "babymoon." They loved the cottage and enjoyed the peace and quiet.
This, my first Airbnb experience, provided me with excellent accommodations in an interesting place hosted by friendly people who made me feel at home. Laurie and Luis are new friends I'm looking forward to seeing again!
The garden cottage—an efficiency apartment on the top floor of a garage used only for storage, not cars—sits next to the Madrigal's house. Guests can use the attached carport, convenient in rainy Oregon.
The kitchenette is fully stocked with utensils and dishes, plus a microwave and a small refrigerator. Although the cottage lacks a cooktop and oven, a large hotplate is provided for light cooking. A television on a swivel mount is viewable from the bed or from a comfortable couch.
The cottage has a fine, private view of the adjacent Bald Hill Farm Nature Preserve, where I spent several enjoyable afternoons hiking on trails ranging from easy strolls to slightly challenging grades.
Despite its quiet, rural feel, the cottage is located surprisingly close to the city of Corvallis. Dozens of pubs and restaurants, along with stores and shops, are a quick, 4-mile drive away. Besides Trader Joe's, Corvallis has all of the major "big-box" stores, in case a guest forgets to bring along any needed supplies.
Born and raised in Corvallis, I met Luis while volunteering in the Peace Corps in Costa Rica. We moved back to Corvallis, started a landscaping business and a family. We'd love to share our beautiful spot in the country with you!
