We visited the Garden Loft for a romantic getaway on Valentines Day, last year. We were so impressed by the accommodations, the host's generosity, and the surrounding area, that we vowed to return for a full weekend. So, just over a year later we finally got the chance to do just that. Once again, the room was perfect, the weather was perfect so we could spend nearly the whole day sitting on the deck that overlooks beautiful pasture land and the host's private garden on the creek. With a microwave, a nice mini fridge, coffee maker, toaster oven, and even a single burner hot plate, you are self-contained for a hibernation if that's what you want. Or you can be in downtown Corvallis in 10 minutes to enjoy the lovely campus, great variety and quality of food, bakeries, coffee, and micro brew. Corvallis is no slacker when it comes to hip places and spaces, and gets an A+ in friendliness. You could easily ride to town or enjoy the spread of the serene valley Eastward on your bike, as there are numerous paved paths. And the Garden Loft is right at the base of Baldy Hill, a parks & rec operated open space with a path system suitable for walking or mtn biking where you will ramble through expansive green fields and enjoy the distant views of the Three Sisters to the east and the coast range to the west. This is our new go-to slice of heaven. And when your day of restoration is complete, you will fall into one of the most comfortable beds you've ever slept in.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Garden Cottage Loft. It's in a beautiful setting, surrounded by green hills and trees all around. It was clean and actually more ascetically pleasing than the pictures convey. I found Laurie to be very accommodating and appreciated her willingness to work with us and our travel plans. I would recommend staying here and hope to stay here again in the future!
Wonderful private location just a couple miles out of town. The loft is perfect for a couple to enjoy a low-key stay. Bald Hill Park has numerous running and walking trails right outside your door, loved the creek in the back. Laurie made us feel right at home~providing a light snack in the morning, and very responsive in every way.
Definitely would stay again!
Our host made us feel welcome by anticipating our needs. Laurie asked what we liked for breakfast and then provided our favorite breakfast for us while we were there!
This Airbnb experience was perfect from top to bottom. Very responsive reservation confirmation, great communication and clear instructions from the host and we felt extra care was taken to make sure we would be comfortable and had breakfast. The cottage was beautifully decorated and very inviting, private and cozy. The view from the deck was fabulous and the creek that runs behind the cottage was full and and we were delighted to be able to fall asleep to the sound of the rushing creek. This was a very easy and stress-free experience and I highly recommend Laurie and Louie and their sweet little cottage! Thank you so much!
The Garden Cottage was true to its description: very cozy, clean, comfortable, private, well-equipped, and with a beautiful view of gardens and nature park. For such a quiet, idyllic country setting, it was also a quick 5 or 10 min drive to OSU, which was our destination. Laurie's instructions were clear and friendly and we felt very welcome!
We booked two nights for our daughter and son-in-law for a little "babymoon." They loved the cottage and enjoyed the peace and quiet.
Born and raised in Corvallis, I met Luis while volunteering in the Peace Corps in Costa Rica. We moved back to Corvallis, started a landscaping business and a family. We'd love to share our beautiful spot in the country with you!
