Beautiful area

This home is in a scenic location.
Stunning apartment with 30ft cathedral ceiling in a large barn on a beautiful horse farm. Large, contemporary, open-spaced living area with gorgeous wood beams and large windows providing a ton of light. A new, fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom with a jacuzzi tub in addition to a shower. A spiral staircase leads to the open second-floor loft sleeping area with a king-sized canopy bed. An additional bed can be brought in for extra guests. The apartment also features a full-sized pool table.

The space
The apartment is located on the south side of a huge horse barn. The barn encompasses a total of four apartments, two that are Airbnb rentals and two that are employee apartments. All units have their own private entrance. There are also horses stabled in the middle section of the barn.

The grounds are beautiful with gently sloping hills and fantastic views of the Berkshire and Catskill mountains in the distance. Meander along acres of horse pasture and along trails up into the woods at the top of the property to get the best views.

Nestled in the upper Hudson Valley, our farm has been a thoroughbred breeding farm for almost 25 years (previously the farm was owned by a polo player who competed at Mashomack Polo Club just 5 minutes down the road). Depending on the time of the year, you may see a variety of horses on the farm including foals, yearlings, mares, stallions, and racehorses.

Conveniently located less than two hours from New York City, the Hudson Valley is known for its exceptional restaurants (not to mention the Culinary Institute of America which is 40 minutes from our farm), charming small towns, antique shops, farmer’s markets, etc. For the equestrian, there are numerous horse farms and riding stables nearby including Mashomack Polo Club (5 minutes away), Millbrook Horse Trials (16 minutes away), and world-class horse shows at HITS Saugerties (50 minutes away).

In addition to the loft apartment, we also have a separate listing for a large one-bedroom apartment located on the opposite side of the same horse barn.

Looking to bring your horse(s) with you? We have stalls and private paddocks available for rent on-site so you can stay together with your horse(s)!

Other things to note
**2024 UPDATE** We updated the bathroom with a brand new shower and refurbished the pool table with new felt and new pockets.

An additional queen-sized bed can be brought in for additional guests (please let us know ahead of time).

All comforters are hypoallergenic down alternative. The duvet covers are organic cotton and the sheets and pillowcases are organic bamboo and extremely soft.

The upstairs loft has open railings to the space below and the loft is accessed by an open spiral staircase. Pets must be approved in advance and we recommend children be old enough to safely and independently handle the staircase and open railings. My husband and I (with our teenage son) own and manage a thoroughbred horse breeding farm in upstate New York. Our farm is located in the beautiful Hudson Valley about two hours north of NYC.
