Wake up 10 steps from a mini ramp and 3km from dolphins frolicking in mostly empty surf breaks, gorgeous hikes and more. This private apartment on the ground floor of our house can be your home base for all Baja has to offer, and that is a LOT. Skaters are invited to enjoy our 3 ft gatorskinned mini ramp during your stay.

Our friendly outdoor dogs may request cuddles on the front patio, but they're easy to avoid, too. We live upstairs - the house is stone and you will have complete privacy.

The space
Our place is up the side of the mountain with incredible views of La Mision estuary and the beach. This spot is ideal for 2 people and the king bed is firm and comfy - no sagging! You *could* fit one or two more people on the fold out (to full size) sofa, but they would be very cozy and honestly, the couch is not the most comfy bed on earth. Best for 2.

This is a great spot for skaters. The apartment is decorated with art and skateboards and the private entrance opens onto your patio, and just steps beyond is the ramp and our DIY skatepool and BBQ area.

We have very reliable wifi, and the apartment has a big table perfect for studying or remote work (or putting together puzzles, which is what it's usually used for). We have a large selection of puzzles if you need them. :) The apartment also has a big TV with a DVD player (and discs) and Netflix.

Guest access
Our nearest neighbors are pretty far, but you can hear roosters, donkey (just one), horses, goats, dogs and sometimes peacocks in the distance, just far away enough to appreciate. Our dogs sometimes bark at passing cars, but cars rarely pass (we only have a few neighbors beyond our house).

The great view comes with one caveat: one mile of dirt road with some hills to climb. We have high clearance vehicles, but most regular cars will make it fine if you take it slow. Not recommended for low clearance / sports cars or street Motos.

You can park right outside your private entrance, if you like.

I am from San Diego, CA and travel a lot with my girlfriend, business partner, skateboard homie and roller derby teammate & co-captain, Trish. We moved to La Misión in 2021 and have fallen head over heals in love with Baja living - like San Diego but a lot less people and the food! ... sigh. Trish and I spent many years traveling to skate and coach roller derby, and we're super excited to reciprocate now by offering our place in Baja for visitors, too. We speak English, but we're racking up XP in duolingo for Español and we're happy to stumble through probably bad conjugations and woefully limited vocab hablar español contigo!
